The year is 1992. Super Nintendo was already launched, fighting back Sega Genesis's 16-bit power with titles such as F-ZERO and Super Mario World. GameBoy was also a tremendous success, and its latest title, Kirby's Dreamland helped boosting Nintendo's reputation even more. Everything seemed alright for Sakurai and Iwata - the key people from the GB game... But there was something missing.
A game that would bind people together. A game that would unite players, old and new.
Using the concept of the game of marbles, Sakurai sketched out on a napkin all the ideas he could think of... Iwata transcribed those ideas into the small portable, an amazing feat considering the scale of the project. HAL started projecting this special gift to all videogame fans...

1- The character designs are based on their latest appearance in 1992-1993. This means, Fox and Yoshi is out (the latter because he had no enough moves at the time to qualify).
2- The entire game asset shall fit in this tiny 256x256 image. This means, tiles will be recycled (just like they were in old games).
3- I can only use another 256x256 block if the first one is completely full.
4- Palette is of course 4 colors: black, gray, light gray and white. Sprites must abide to 3 colors + alpha transparency rule.
I'll be working on this as I feel like it
