What's the progress so far?

I'm taking a break at the moment to focus on my first original and commercial game. The project is not cancelled, however, and I WILL eventually return to it.

Sorry if that guy named Mrsonicfans is talking smack about your game by the way.

Don't worry about it. I don't pay attention to him and just ignore his bullshit. It doesn't bother me at all.

Yeah he's so ignorant!

Okay, so I've slowly been re-doing all the stuff I lost.
As I posted on the Happy thead, I found this amazing script for music. I no longer cut looping tracks in 2!

" PLEASE LOCK: CANCELLED in favour of original material. " Can you explain please ?

looks like he wants to put this on hiatus to work on his commercial game project.

Possible, but I don't think. I think rather that there are a copyright problem; it would be a pity that a game that we started does not have a continuous support because it isn't cost-effective.
[off-topic] JazzGW, your signature's gif is a "little" too much mesmerizing and... isn't very friendly.

Yes. I will confirm that it is because I want to avoid copyright issues with Nintendo and other companies whose characters I wanted to use. I had a huge fighter roster and over 600 songs planned. That's a lot of copyrighted material. Especially since the veteran character and stage models were reused from SSB Wii U and Brawl. I didn't legally acquire them, I ripped them. This is because I was mad at AM2R and Pokemon Uranium being taken down.
I don't want to put in years of effort to make Feud great just to have it DMCA'd by somebody and have it unable to be enjoyed. No thanks.
I enjoyed working on this thing. But since I love making games, I can enjoy it instead making content I actually own.

Sadly it just doesn't work that way.
They have the money, lawyers, etc. to make you stop if you don't desist.
That's a risk I'm not willing to take. I'm just one guy, no money, no lawyers, no power, etc.

In Europe, Nintendo nearly lost a complaint about a small factory that sell linkers... But they won after an appeal. (what I say has no value, don't take account)

What I'm worried about with Feud is this:
What happens if I had released it and it became really popular, like games like Pokemon Uranium and AM2R? Nintendo and others WOULD have noticed. Feud was going to be the first 3D Smash fangame and a fan-sequel to Smash Wii U. I was going to make it bigger than SSB Wii U, the game they just released 2 years ago.
I know Crusade is popular like hell, and hasn't been taken down, but as I mentioned, I reused official assets like models and music.

You'd be surprised, dude. Just sayin'.
