Please share your thoughts here about the newest film installment of Terminator Antology.
The fifth one is Genisys, right?

I thought it was awesome, for the most part. Not sold on Jason Clarke as John Connor (I don't know if it's the man himself, his usual acting style, or just the way he was directed, but he reminded me a lot of Bill Murray in his performance in Genisys, and that's just not the kind of John I'm looking for), or some of what they did with that particular character. It was really great to see the writers approaching the whole multiple timelines concept, because that's kind of a serious game-changer for the Terminator universe... of course the film was filled to the brim with the typical Terminator time-travel inconsistencies that force you to shut off some of the analytical portions of the brain.

I'm hoping with the multiple timeline thing going on, the current heroes will end up in a timeline that touches on the Sarah Connor Chronicles a little bit. Any kind of closure for that series would be nice. And Summer Glau joining the rest of the Genisys heroes would be stellar.[/wishfulthinking]
Merged the Terminator 5 thread with this one, as we already have a thread for discussing movies (Star Wars seems to be an exception seeing how it's a bigger deal).

I also may or may not have fugged up in doing so which got rid of the original thread title/post icon. OP will have to fix that, whoops.
What are you guys thinking of Ghost Busters 3?
As a fan of Ghostbusters, I am not very sure if I'll see it. Sure Paul Feig's the director, but the casting isn't doing it for me.
But then again. I haven't seen his movies yet, so I am unsure what his comedy is like.

The new film still gets flak from both male and female fans because they feel it's disrespectful to the late Harold Ramis.
And the actresses they picked are viewed as some of the most unfunny women in recent comedy.
I know Kristen Wigg and Melissa McCarthy, but I have no idea who the other two are.

At least the 2009 video game can now be considered the true third installment.

And don't get me wrong. There are some funny women in comedy. Of any I can't think of, our own Rebel Wilson is one of my favourites.
Search Fat Pizza on Youtube. You'd be surprised where she got her start from.
Others I like include Julia Louis Dreyfus, Roseanne Barr, Wanda Sykes, the late Marcia Wallace, and Magda Szubanski.
I'm not really sure what's different with the original post as opposed to the current OP so I'm not gonna bother. Haven't watched much lately, just responding to the merge effects.
So I saw the Peanuts movie today, and I ended up enjoying it. As a newspaper comic film, this is one of the better adaptions.
The animation looked pretty good, it had a real stop-motion feel to it. Shame only me and three families were at the same session.
Doesn't help that right now, the cinema I go to has all family movies on only two time sessions and most people won't be able to see it.
Worse, only on mornings. It's school holidays here right now and not every kid and non-working parent is going to be awake in the morning.

I did get a neat collector's cup though. A Snoopy shaped one which is so awkward for a bottle it can't even sit in cup holders.

As for upcoming video game movies, I'm probably gonna see Angry Birds and Ratchet & Clank as those two look better than ones before.
The creators for both franchises are heavily involved and look to be averting the usual problems with video game movies.
Watched Star Wars Episode IV for the first time yesterday. It was pretty nice. I plan to watch the rest of them soon enough, in the order they were made. I've wanted to see the Star Wars films for a while but never got around to it until now.
Well I'm glad this movie has motivated you to see the older ones.

I setimes get worried that people will be content with whatever's the newest version of something that they never bother to see the original. I always feel this way when it comes to remakes or reboots specifically.

You're going to watch Star Wars in release date order? Might I suggest the machete order instead? A friend of mine recently watched the series for the first time and said that's a great way to do it.
Well, at this point I'm just watching them for the movies themselves, and so that I actually know what each one is and the specific points. Due to the internet and whatnot I know the overall story already and most big plot points won't be huge surprises to me. Machete order seems cool for people who know nothing, but for me I just want to watch all of them in the order most people have, including Episode I. I'm also watching it with my siblings who have seen them before, and I'm sure they just want to see it in the original order.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I might re-watch them in that order sometime.
So, as I recall, I mentioned that my mom and I planned to go see the Peanuts movie a couple posts back?
We did a few days ago, and I can safely say that I recommend watching it.

There's very little that they got wrong, and it most likely was a minor slip-up, if anything.
Even with the use of CG vs. the original hand-drawn and "scribbly" look of the original comic strip/show, they preserved the overall look and feel, especially since they toned-down all the fancy shading and crap, and made it look like the old cartoon, aside from being 3D and HD.

That's all I'll say.

this doesn't necessarily pertain to the film, itself, but it does mention a tiny thing that shows before it.
There's not any real details in this text, but just in case, I've put it in a spoiler tag!
Deadpool was amazing. Full of cheeky humor, swearing, tits and decapitations. And tits.
Okay, so I'm not seeking major spoilers, but...
