@Davy Jones
Thank you very much for he assistance. As for Papyrus' sprite: I tried to make it look like a shrunk down version of his normal sprite, but with some touches to keep in the style.
Undyne and Toriel were massive WIP, but I think they're okay.
Frisk rotation test. In the iconic Mother 2/3 8 directions.
Might start doing the walking/running anims soon.
(Also, if I ever complete the sheet, should I upload it as a custom sprite sheet?)
Rotation seems relatively smooth except certain parts of the hair seem to be jumping from one place to another. Mainly on the top, the hair looks like it is jumping up and down one pixel. Also, the purple stripes do not really stand out against the shirt's blue, and the division between the pants and shirt is unclear.
@Koala.
Thank you for the suggestions, might have to try it when I update the sprites, then.
Not used to animating sprites, so I don't really know what I'm doing.
These look really derpish.
Looking better?
They look pretty good. Like a nice mix between the two styles.
Been having trouble with the running and ladder animations, had to use the Lucas Sprites from Mother 3 as a reference for them.
Running an anims are on the left, 4 frames each.
The sheet is in a state I can call it finished. I decided to give it a fancy background to match the Mother 3 style.
If there's any typos, please tell me.
Quote:"MOTHER 3-styled Frisk made by Filler T Freak. Colors are from MOTHER 3.
UNDERTALE is owned by Toby Fox, MOTHER 3 is owned by Nintendo. This is a noncommercial fan work not intended to infringe."
Looks pretty good, man! This definitely looks like it'd fit into MOTHER 3.
Thanks! I spent quite a bit learning some of the sprites. The diagonal sprites still look wonky to me.
Might as well do a Chara edit, too. (Since I based my Chara off Frisk)
Had to do some tweaking to make it look more clear with the different colours used.
Re-arranged the bottom text to look less awkward, too. I would put this in the custom sections as an add-on for frisk, but he got his own section.
Been making a new game, it's a Vinesauce-theme AVGN adventures-like game. So here's some sprites.
The think Vin is holding is a thumbtack Nerf gun, which was a reference to an old video from early on in his channel about such a topic. Grand Dad and the Vineshroom are easy enough to understand.
Sorry. Been away for awhile to learn SFM. I also forgot that game I had an idea for existed. As I just went and worked on a new one, shoving it over my other ideas.
Tileset:
16x16 tiles, of course.
If there's anything I should improve on, ask away.
