Bored. Been trying to be a sellout and did some M and L 1 styled sprites. Used Roy's colour set, but I'm trying to get the contrast just right. It's apparent this style is sorta hard for me.
Pretty sure with some minor tweaks, it would be okay?
You seem to have a pretty good grasp on the SS style, but as you said, there could be a little more contrast, primarily on the head/torso/whatever. Besides that, the mouth is a little awkward with the one tooth being lighter and also touching the eye, the pupils may be too wide, the foot overlaps the face a little too much, and the spikes on the head are a little jaggy.
Shrunk the foot, eyes, and redid some sections of the spikes and shadng. I cheated and used the darker browns shade from Trunkle, rather than Roy from Super Star Saga. I didn't know how to make the eye-mask stand out from the teeth, so I just make it a lighter shade of grey.
Looking better?
Dunno how I could fix this, does it seem decent enough, now?
Lots of minor changes and some detail has been added to other places.
Another random character I drew up. Dunno how I should go about with the rest.
she got like floppy mickey mouse shoes dude.
The eyes could be closer together on the face forword pose
Scratch pad.
Might roll with stuff when I make more.
Today, I learnt that even on pixel art, my hand-writing skills suck.
(And yes, that is my old Undertale knock-off thing. Been converting it into a proper project that'll stray away from the game)
Anyhow, more anims.
Cleaned up the HORRIBLE font. Also added NPC names.
Getting rusty with sprites, made some meme trash.
Found this in the archives, dunno if I posted this. But I was tying to recreate the Sponge sprites from the Vinesauce Super Sponge Bros video. It's hard because it's a bit blurry.
Some spicy, bootleg forced maymays for the kids.
I regret everything.
