I don't get the point of this post. SO INSTEAD I'LL JUST SAY ITS FUCKING DUMB
I mostly say this as it seems to paint other goals as bad for really no reason. Art has it's fundamentals and its up to you to decide how to build off from them. Human camera? alright cool, still got to know art fundamentals like anatomy, form, gesture, etc or else your 'camera' will look fucked. Want to draw cartoons? well still gotta learn that shit first, then draw the cartoons.
Vaporwave/2deep4u shit still needs to follow art fundamentals or basic aesthetics for it to work and for people to find it pleasing to the eyes even if they don't get it. But I think doing art for the purpose of misunderstanding to a large audience is stupid, since art is a form of communication, and if you aren't getting the idea across then the art is shit. Like trying to buy something from a store and you start saying "My hovercraft is full of eels" when all you wanted was some smokes.
So it doesn't matter what you decide to do, it matters if you learn the basics and always remember your work will be shit forever. 
If you're not respected it's not usually due to content but rather that you're terrible at what you're doing and-or conduct yourself terribly.

No. Well it wasn't until the OP removed their posts and made everything nonsensical. Truth be told, that would imply that this thread had sense to begin with, which I question.
