Did you download it from here, or did you try ripping it? I checked RTB's submission and it seems fine, aside from a few quirks on Blender's end.

You should upload your version of the .blend file so that we can see what's happening. I can't speak for OS, but I had no major problems with the one on tMR, so I can only guess what the problem might be.
That said, I think I have an idea of what happened. When you import the model it looks white, right? (It's fine when it's rendered.) I'm guessing you went into edit mode and UV panel to fix that. Here's the problem, though: Despite being a single mesh, the model uses multiple materials. If you just select everything and set a texture then some parts will be wrong. You have to select the vertices assigned to each material and set them one at a time.
Although I did accidentally stumble into a bigger problem. I can't seem to import the normal Pinsir model. (Accidentally misclicked it when importing the mega.)
