No, you didn't.

Not only is the head too big for the body now, but that walk animation is terrible.
All I did was recolor it, the head stayed the same size and so did the legs and other parts of the animation. Here is a comparison with Luigi and Mario New and Old. I have to leave now.

vipershark, he's just a beginner, cut him some slack.

Go look at some SMW mario walk sprites, and observe how walking works, and dont make the head so boxed shaped. Mario's head should be smaller.
He's still too blocky.

Er, SMW has to be one of the worst references for walking animations, ever.

Megaman on the other hand has alright running animations. If you really need it, I could dig up some tutorials for you. Tongue
Megaman isn't a Mario character, I want the walking to look Mario and Luigi-esque.
But Mega Man's walk is better than the walk in SMW. It doesn't matter if it is from another company, it is a RUN. People RUN the same unless they are retarded.
It wont popen can someone put it on photobucket or something

Hmm, sometimes. Not every character walks the same. While Mario walks with the arms kinda near the body (in 2D games), Megaman stretches out his arm quite a bit when walking.

About the "New_mario" sheet:

Obviously improved compared to the first one Smile that's another step into making good sprite sheets. However, you still need to shade it better: The parts that were supposed to be lighter aren't. Maybe removing the outline in the lightest parts will make it look better. His face's shading looks blocky, smoothen it out. Some outline parts needs to be smoother, too (body, head).
The animation you're trying to do is too hard for you. Try something with less frames. 4 frames for walking is all that you need.

That is very true. I just assumed that he would figure out that that the run should be more character-specific. I also agree with everything you said Gorsal, and would like to add that looking at some examples of Mario running on a 3-D Mario game and comparing it to a person actually running can help alot.
Thanks. I will change the walk animation and make it so there is only 4 walk sprites.
