...I don't really like how this one came out. The shading looks all wrong, and the colors are too dark. There isn't detail where there should be. Honestly I got halfway through and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it.
Perhaps some of the shades could use more contrast? Right now I can't really tell the difference between some of the lighter shades of the robe from the darker shades.
That's the one thing I could suggest off the top of my head from what I can see. Other than that I wouldn't beat down on yourself too harshly because it is beginning to take shape.
It's looking better. But now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure about this color scheme. He's supposed to be dark and creepy, and these colors don't feel like they fit.
in sprites, dark purple is a good substitute to black (because black clothing tends to melt and form unreadable blobs in smaller resolutions).
Maybe if you go for a slightly bluer purple, it will look better? Right now it's a tiny bit shifted to red. Try shuffling the hues around.
I mean you aren't even the real ProtoTroid. Stop lying.

Yeah, I'm done trying to talk sense into you. If you aren't even going to explain why you're accusing me of not being...Well,
me, then I have nothing more to say to you.
Moving on, I made some alterations to the sprite.
Now it seems too blue...Maybe if I try a more in between shade?

Seriously?
Don't just randomly barge in here and accuse people of not being themselves unless there's actually evidence to suggest otherwise. Warned for flaming.
Something I started the other day. I'm not sure if I'll finish it, but it's worth a try I suppose.
