If the stupidly expensive edition (that you get a Sonic statue with) doesn't come with a physical release (it doesn't btw) I'm not really holding my breath for one...
Or it'll be like Shantae/Wild Guns and be scalped to high heavens

I don't mind more Sonic Generations. It's honestly I'd rather have them fail, unless of course a fan presented something to the world that should be heavily consider for a direction for Sonic that incorporates what a lot of people especially here have been saying: Give us Adventure 3.
If only only machines could handle large environments (Action Stages) encapsulated into large areas (Adventure Stages) that lead to actual levels but not in a convoluted non-sensical insert our idea of reality but well thought out way through conveyance and game narrative like a Banjo Kazooie game.....Oh wait.
Yeah if Adventure 3 was ever coming I'd want it to be this, or something with SEGA polish that looks a lot like this. Bring Back Green Hill Town as am Adventure Stage Present to me back story about Sonic's world on loading screens voice by Omachao (turn down the grating though find a nice balance) (Make Sonic Battle included when you beat main game/collect all the Emblem/Red Rings/Emeralds/Chao's, make it local two player (If they have time for online GO FOR IT!) Bring Back Chao Eggs in like you know actual Adventure Fields in places Chaos nested but moved on and left eggs? Bring back Chao Battle and Race. Keep the Mission Modes and Collectible music interchangeable/Audio from Generations. Put everyone as they functioned in Adventure 1 but like y'know actually polish up their speeds to reflect how they move, in whomever get's big role (or leave him out that's also cool.) The easiest thing to do would be to just make Adventure 3 in a engine similar to this but base it on the Archie Adventure Comic series. They have pretty good writing and I've always wanted to hear the dialogue voice, can't be worse than the plot they had with Generations. That's my dream Adventure 3 game ideas....................anyway.
Mania? everything about that game tells me that a sequel is coming which I'm happy about.
P.S If they actually made Adventure 3 like that would you buy it? I feel like people would actually love it but not a lot of people know about the Paradise engine. Also is Sonic Mobius too on the nose for a Sonic game title?

Basically Sonic 1 Megamix but with more unique playstyles)

Noooooo. Stop wanting to add modern crap to my classic Sonic
Knuckles is new enough...

no no, listen, just hear me out
nack, bean and bark put into actual sonic canon as a foil to team sonic

Nope nope. They can stay obscure and only cameo as posters in the background. Sega adding things to make Sonic 'better' is what got Sonic in the state it is today.
In there 'big' Sonic releases, sure, add swords, loads of characters and terrible dialogue ("Come and get me, Sonic heroes") - they can do whatever they please, I don't care. But to make a 'pure' Sonic game and then wanting them to add to it - madness.
I have no doubt done right, your ideas would work. But I have zero faith in Sega being able to do such a thing. I mean look how bad Sonic 4 was - just awful, and that was meant to be a modern take on the classic formula.
It's like adding Christmas lights to a teapot.

I probably should point out that it was never established if Bean and Bark were villains, and the reason for it was made up by Archie.
And if Sega were to add a character for a possible sequel or DLC to Mania. It'll most likely be Amy, as she's part of the classic characters.
Though I wouldn't mind one of the Chaotix as well. (Epsio PLZ)

I think Chaotix would be the perfect characters to do a Sonic/beat'em up game with. Or even a 2D 'lost Vikings'-like game.
Basically, they should use the Chaotix team for something - pretty huge wasted opportunity there...

There's enough Sonic characters to do a whole bunch of different characters with different genres, tbh. As far as Chaotix, I've always wanted to do a beat 'em up with some actual detective work involved... finding evidence and interrogating people and all that.

Chaotix Arkham style... I'd be down for that

i'm still with goemar on porting segasonic to consoles. maybe even 3ds, switch or vita. they could either release it physically with a simple trackball controller, or use regular controls BUT press a button to run fast like in lost world, since as we know from emulating it, the movement with a keyboard or controller is pretty ass.
i'd say it could be sega's overdue answer to four swords and triforce heroes. lol

Or you know... the touchscreen as a virtual trackball...
Much how for emulation if you don't have a trackball - using a mouse works ok-ish.
I mean there's no way they would release a special controller for it - that would be insane. I don't think there's much demand for it for anything special to be done and if I remember correctly (back when Sega World in London was a thing), the game wasn't that good...

Honestly, if they were porting obscure Sonic games, I wouldn't mind some kind of Game & Watch Gallery type deal with those McDonald's pocket games...

I honestly doubt they would have held onto the code for those things ...
