Tried keeping it in a minimal color style, 2 similar hues and one defining feature with its own pallete.
Made from the sketch from the game idea I had.
Might consider doing the same with the skull dudes and maybe the environment.
Interesting concept, a side on tactics game.
I might know someone that'd be willing to make it into a flash game at some point if you animate it.

The palette is wonderful, but something's off-setting about the hair shading.

cool stuff, palette is pretty well thought out, shadings good too. the pants look weird as fuck though, and I guess thats what you're going for, but its pretty odd as it looks as though the ripples were randomly placed and they don't seem to have taken any form over his legs.
if thats supposed to be a robe then you threw me off with the sketch on the bottom
