Hello there. I am creating this thread to showcase, and search for, fellow spriters who want to embark on this art project.
WHY AND WHERE DID THE IDEA COME FROM?
WHAT'S THE GOAL?
WHERE TO CONTRIBUTE?
Discord server, feel free to join.
The collection right now stands at this point:
The templates for the characters are available here:
Trainer battlesprites are also welcome in this project, and in a later point in time will be organized to make it easier to sort what is available and what is missing. This is an example of one I made:
WHY AND WHERE DID THE IDEA COME FROM?
Long ago, a spriter friend of mine designed this custom style for a game some people were working on. The game died long ago, but the art style was really interesting and dynamic, and my aim right now is to take this style, and the progress we had made creating characters in it, and expand the collection, looking for people who want to contribute and take part in this project.
The goal is simple. Make every character we can in this style, so it becomes usable by the public. Create a realiable resource, so we can make a sprite style that can enrich the fan-game panorama and bring to the games characters exclusive to other platforms (or times), such as TCG characters, old style characters revamped, anime characters, movies, etc.

Right now the sprites are located in a group in DeviantArt, where everyone can join and contribute with their work. Eventually a new platform might be used to make managing and organizing sprites more organic and simple, perhaps something like a shared cloud drive.
