The 3rd was geat, apart from choice bosses that were unduly hard.
I disliked the 1st the most. It was good, but parts of it were kinda boring, and the special stages sucked.

Sonic parts look good, Werehog parts look extremely slow and clunky.

mind you it's probably not even in it's beta stage yet, or is it? idk how all these things go... so they're still in the works
also, they have an entirely different team doing the Wii version, now I'm wondering if I should get the Wii version first, or the PS3 version first... I wanna get them both because it will be a different experience, but I wonder which one I should get first

You buying both... wow talk about flashing your cash.

dude, I was just asking, geez, don't criticize me, you're the one stuck in the past

I know I'm making a huge catch-up post, but I've been away without internet access for the past week.
~~~~~~~~
I love the scene where Sonic is running away from the giant arm in Tokyo. He just looks back at it with a smirk and makes mockingly large and slow steps.
The super part at the end was also sweet. You know they'll eventually have to do a super were sonic, because he'll have to face the big bad boss at night.
The werewolf gameplay doesn't seem too bad so far. They just need to not screw it up. The arm stretching is nice, though he should be able to jump better as a werewolf.
Also, the enemy design isn't too bad after all.
Additionally, ASonic seems like he goes nearly berserk in his transformed state. Obvious the player controls him in-game, but he seems too fierce to be capable of rational thought.
Another nice part was how it loks like Eggman fooled Sonic this time. Ye made an eleaborate space station just to lure Sonic into an energy-channeling chamber (and Sonic is apparently the key to cracking the earth apart).
I think I saw mention of a day/night system in the levels (and possibly in the towns).
~~~~~~~~
HOLD THE PHONE. Camera and controls are both great even at this early stage of development?! There's no reason this game won't be great now.
~~~~~~~~
Dimps (Sonic Rush level designers) are making (more like redesigning) the daytime levels for Wii. Everything else (with obvious graphical restrictions) will be the same. The Wii version will then be ported to PS2.
In the past Sonic and Mario were pretty much neck and neck in the fight or awesomeness, now Sonic is just mediocre and Mario has basically took the lead. If Sega looked into the past and saw what made Sonic's games great I'm sure most of the fans would be happier. If you actually read around most people want Sonic to "get back to his roots" which means looking into the past.
no, mario is mediocre too, which is why he pumps out numbers and numbers of spinoffs
07-22-2008, 12:30 PM
Yeah but at least his games are still fun.
i havent had fun with a mario game since the N64
Well that's because you have an x in front of your name and at the end of your name.
Plus the first part of your name has a T, so yeah.
or it could be because every game after SM64 was either a remake or sucked (hello galaxy)
being straight edge has nothing to do with a person's game enjoyment
Now there's no way I can defend the crapness of Sunshine though I would say that Galaxy was more than a remake. That's like saying that Twilight Princess is a remake of Ocarina of Time, which it isn't really. True I didn't think Galaxy was all that great but I wouldn't call it a remake. Contra 4 a remake maybe but not Mario Galaxy.
I don't think anything will touch Mario 64 because it basically did nothing wrong and was the first 3D Mario game a lot of people played. Maybe someone who played Galaxy first would see it as a better game than Mario 64.
And yes Mario has spin-offs but most are fairly good. Many of the sports games are great (where the hell is the new Mario Golf anyway?) and the Mario Kart games (minus Double Dash) are excellent. Yes his Party games and many others suck but his mainstream titles are still vastly better than Sonic's newer games.
I think it would be hard for anyone to argue that Sonic hasn't been sucking lately, and sucking hard.
Not as hard as you think.
Oh, and I liked Sunshine.
