we have now a system that hides it from people that aren't ok with it, why having this rules?
We already have explicit loli content on the site.

i'm really pissed off at all this hypocricy, why we should upload only Dazz's kinks?
loli is ok, shota no
vanilla is ok, monmusu no
We should have ONE rule on what is ok and what not,
You still wanna go for Dazz's kinks, say what tags are accetable or what are "too explicit".
Sorry for the harsh and kinda mean tone, but I don't really see those rules as fair
Did you read reasons 2 and 3 (specifically 3 where he said it was mostly because there was too much of it and it would take too long to go through all of it)?
Also, as a point of reference for everyone, the NSFW filter currently only applies to the home page and search results. I'm working on rolling it out to the rest of the site but it's going to be a little while as implementing it is time consuming.

yeah, i'm not objecting those ones, his rip his rules.
I'm objecting the "loli is ok, shota no" thing
Even without the filter on, why not all porn is treated equally?
That's literally one person saying they didn't want to rip it for that reason. Nowhere was it mentioned that there is a rule in place forbidding it. Dazz ripped what he wanted to and Davy chose not to rip what he didn't want to. You are more than welcome to go rip the rest of the missing content from that game and submit it.

So why when I rip my games they are rejected for being "too explicit" when the site is flooded with "too explicit" things?
While i'm happy to hear shota can be ripped and there's no difference between man and woman, i still find inconsistencies in the system.
I just checked the logs and I don't see anything of yours being rejected for it being too explicit. I see rejections because there were no submissions to a game and a few more for recent submissions to Cuphead. As I said, we don't have any rules regarding what is or isn't too explicit as long as they're marked correctly (and I'd also recommend putting anything extremely explicit in a zip instead of a sheet).

because I canceled it when a mod PMed me and saied it was too much for the site.
Ain't posting private messages pubblicly, if you want the message I'll post it to you on Discord, or you could ask him directly
Too much for the site is too vague of a reason to give for rejecting something. Did they give any reason as to why it's too much for the site? Also too much can mean that there are too many files to look through, or too many submissions for what's being submitted exist. Also did you even ask what about it was too much? Or what was meant by them saying that it was too much?
I rejected it at the time. This site has only now begun to take a more definitive stance of NSFW content; until now, it's been on a personal discretion, which of course is not something that can be explained or enforced properly.
When it comes to the kind of content we accept, Petie and I have been pretty much on the same page; NSFW content should not be games literally made for the express purpose of uh... titillation in the pants. That's hard to explain fully, but I think it makes sense when you look at the previous content we've accepted versus what hasn't made it to the site.
Since Davias began uploading NSFW content bypassing the approval process, this obviously has been made into a larger issue, including what the purpose of this site is and who it is aimed toward. We're working on it; as I said, things are changing now.
edit: I'd also like to add, not that it's really needed, but this policy was not previously built on "my kinks". I'm not into a lot of the content I rip for the site, nevermind it NSFW or not, but I appreciate other people are. I frequently rip games that have followings online but very little in the way of ripped content. This site is a gathering place for many fanbases, for many reasons, and I am not one to judge. I don't care about nudity, and wouldn't see that as the central focus when choosing to rip from a game.

Dazz gave me the ok to post the PM, but also saied in the message "
Sure, go ahead - if it's to try and make me look like I have double standards, be aware that we're now adjusting our policy. Not confirmed yet, but it's definitely being confirmed and stuff"
Whathever, I still don't fully understand the system honestly, but your site your rules.
I don't want to make drama anymore nor talk shit on people that I barely know.
My intent was kinda to show how it has double standards, but now I think it's a new thing for the site too those NSFW sheets and we don't know how to handle that yet.
EDIT: Dazz posted when I was writing that thing, so everithing is clear now
I didn't see those submissions but prior to the stuff Davias has uploaded recently, I likely would have said the same thing. Honestly, the submissions that went up recently likely would have been rejected for the same reason if he didn't have instant approval. But since they did make it onto the site, this conversation started and we've been revising how we handle content of this nature. As a result, content which we might have rejected last month will be accepted now that we're implementing a way for those who don't want to see it to completely hide it from the site.
As Dazz said, this is an ongoing process and things are kind of in limbo at the moment since we haven't hammered down any official rules yet but for the most part, I don't think we'll be rejecting submission based on their explicit nature once the NSFW filter is entirely in place.
Let me express that I am glad that measures were taken. It's a nice start, and I'm sorry if I couldn't express myself properly.
My main concern was to make the navigation for young users more pleasant; personally I don't mind having those icons there, but there are many people who wouldn't feel at home, you know? I think that the current step is already a positive change.
The second one would be to "set a bar" for what kind of NSFW content the site is able to add. From the top of my head, excessive gore and sexual themes are the first ones that appear, but as Dazz said,
Quote: NSFW content should not be games literally made for the express purpose of uh... titillation in the pants.
this is kinda weird because games are games regardless of content, and tSR being a gallery of game art, this definition would be on the personal side of what a game is. Would
this game be accepted or not?
I don't intend to sound cocky or rebellious or anything, I am genuinely interested in what the stance of tSR will be. In a "middle man's point of view", it is understandable to not allow this kind of content, but as a game art gallery site, I personally feel that tSR will lose part of the game history.
In the end, it all boils down to opinions, but I'll obey your stance whatever it is. Just a solid answer will be more than enough
I obviously can't speak for Dazz with 100% certainty but I think that statement was meant for before we had a way to properly filter out that content. Games that are 99% porn and 1% gameplay weren't being accepted originally but since this discussion started (spurred both by the instant upload of very explicit content and by your suggestion, among others, to be able to hide it), I think the viewpoint has been shifting quite a bit. Since this filter will hide all NSFW content by default, I'm inclined to give a lot more leeway when it comes to explicit content.
Pretty much my stance too. For the record, I don't hold you guys wanting to improve this site as a negative, I appreciate any and all feedback/discussion that is brought up. My treatment of the site has changed since I've become a little more aware of how the world works I suppose.
We'll treat the current NSFW filter as a sort of trial, if we see negative backlash, it will be changed. The time it'll take for this to occur isn't something I can determine, but I figure that if we can all move ahead and see where we go from here, then it's a good place to start. That said, Petie has put the work in, and we're off to very solid and promising start.
Okay everyone, I know this took a while but the full NSFW filtering feature should now be live across all areas of all of the sites. At the top right of the header, you should see toggles for both icon/text mode and NSFW filtering. The text there currently displays your active setting (so it will show "NSFW On" if you're allowing NSFW content to show). I tested things pretty thoroughly but if you notice any issues, display bugs, or areas I may have missed hiding something where it should be, please let me know here.
I'd also like to point out that this solution is cookie-based so it does not require an account or for you to be logged in to use it. It also defaults to hiding NSFW content so you'll need to manually turn it on if you want to see the anything currently hidden. I'll make a note of this in the next update but if anyone has any suggestions regarding making this fact more obvious in general, feel free to share them here as well.
