Crescent moon and star? Yeah, it's the symbol for the Muslim religion. Why do you think it was removed from the game?

Technically the crescent moon and star is the old Gerudo Symbol from Zelda 64. Nintendo redesigned the symbol in the remake for Gamecube

zelda games use all kinds of religious symbols

Well, Koume and Kotake's symbols bear amazing resemblance to the Fire and Water medallion's.
And several are downright obscure (such as the Arbiter's Keep symbol).
Also, I finally found something witty regarding the Old Gerudo symbol.

Thanks anyways ^^. This avatar actually came about as a result of a Zelda 2 hack I'm working on.
I also noticed that there are "Tribe Symbols" from MMSF2. Dinosaur and Ninja, possibly Berserker. Also the Rasangen Symbol from Naruto.
