So, im working
Hrist/ Dark Valkyrie and she is a palette swap of
Lenneth. Long story short, some of the platforming frames( Pushing,Pulling,Throwing Object etc.) uses colors that i cant find the equivalent of, using Hrist or Dark Valkyrie ( since they are enemies and those frames are from platforming).
Should i guess a color or just remove those frames?

Anyone know if there a program that can detect which pixels has changed between 2 pictures and make an image out of them?
I'm stilll still searching for a way to rips the portrait without spending 40minute per portrait assembling them, and i was thinking, if theres a program that does that, i could a screenshot before the portrait appears, and one after, the programs should give me only the portrait.

I tried to mess with the debug menu of the ps1 version of Valkyrie profile and theres a debug menu activatable with gamehark to display all 200-ish portraits in the game! However, on ps1, glintercetp dosnt work with that game, and the portrait i get with VRam has the same kind of compression that i get with Glintercept+PspVersion in normal gameplay.
If that program doesnt exist, ill try to program it.
Good news: i programmed it and it works.
Bad news: Emulation of ps1 1:1 is apparently not as easy as it may seem. At 2/3 of the screen i always get a line of pixels that duplicated. I spent more time trying to fix that than on the program....

What it does:
On the top left, the loaded background, on the right, the sprites, on the bottom left the preview.
Load a background, load 1 or more sprite on said background, click Process, choose the destination of the files. ????? Profit
And, of course, its not perfect. If the background happens to be the exact same at the same position, it will be erased. Also, if the background move in anyway, SpriteFinder wont help you.
If someone has an idea of a functionnality for the program they could use for their project, i can check if i can integrate it.
Glad you were able to figure something out! I think PlayStation is notoriously hard to rip. That’s why we have almost no models from it.

Just realised that square enix released a mobile remake of Valkyrie Profile, last week. Every sprite seem the same except.... the portrait.
And well, there are also in-app purchase.....
Right, im able to extract the .apk file with winrar but not the .obb file. I guess thats where you found the portrait?
