"I TEACH MORALITY!!"
Opa is the best damn character in
Puchi Carat and YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT. He's a preacher man, but you'd barely believe it by his perverted gallivanting, his tendecy to hit people with his hardcore skull mace and proclaim to TEACH THEM A LESSON, not to mention that on his profile screen he has the three measurements that are only reserved for female characters. Plus he's a senile old coot.
Sadly, this means that we're not going to see much else that's exciting from these rips!
Oh... My... God.
What the fuck.
Saved faster than you can say homoerotic supersonic.
Forgot to add the small sprites for Opa, so they're there now. Plus I realised some of the character selection sprites have unique frames, which means a few of the sheets will probably need updated.
Groan.
Today's addition is
Pearl and Dale, brother and sister (reserve-respectively!) potion makers. Pearl is genki, Dale is timid, and thus hilarity ensues. And
incest!
moar leik wincest.
That is some awesome script writing right there. It's alright. Because I like you.
Great rip
After at least three years of my attempts to rip this guy going pear-shaped in some form or manner, I finally ripped
the bastard. See those guns? See that armour? Separate sprites with separate palettes. Even for the shoot-flash ones where there's barely a difference in colour, they're still separate sprites with separate palettes. Nnnngh. On the bright side, I no longer have to lose sleep over knowing this guy isn't ripped! Huzzah!
I still don't know what his name is, though. There's no manual scans of the game.
And I'll bluntly admit that the need to rip the character select animations has turned me off Puchi Carat for the time being. I'm a fussy pickle.
Damn, I should have hustled and made badnik rips from Rush Adventure before you. Now I can't make my own rips anymore and yours have this nagging problem of having pure black as a transparent color (it mixes too much with everything) and being a crapload of individual files. I dunno, I prefer having everything in one place and using a color not used elsewhere as transparent =/
So with that, I dare you to rip the Egg Hammer badnik from Sonic Rush. I can't do it, but from what I see in this thread I'm sure you could do it.
Ragey can do fucking anything.
Awesome rip of that gunslinger guy. Pure skill~

I admit I use the likes of pink and greens for transparency, but the problem lies on Easy GIF Animator, as it then converts that into pure black, though I admit I've never checked if it screws up anything. Hurf! I used to use Photoshop for GIF-ing, but I lost it quite a while back while moving to a new computer. Is there like a small and less useful program that allows convenient GIF-ing and has a colour table which shows how many colours are in the file? Those were the only things I used it for, see. I'm not too partial to the transparent colour being black either.
The separate files thing was just to get them released quickly when they were done, and if anything, at least it's less painful than the one-sheet-for-one-enemy crap I pulled with the first Rush.
Then again, I ain't stopping you. You kind of
know what you're doing when it comes to Sonic games, so I'd probably say you're better suited to doing it. I accept your challenge, however!
To resume talking about me, I forgot to include the mugshots in Pearl & Dale's sheet, so they're there now. Also,
Thyst! She's one of those painfully shy characters that goes into a blub-blub fest at the slightest provocation and has the hots for Garnet, who's too busy being
loopy to notice. C'est la vie.

Two things come to mind: the really old Microsoft GIF Animator, and the neither small nor useless The GIMP.

I await to see the results! Good luck, you're really gonna need it. I believe it's inside /act/ac_en
gghammer.bac or something along those lines.
I had the tiles lying around for ages, it just required getting the missing bits from gameplay via No$GBA - which was the hard part, because seriously, how many pits does that game have? Still, I can safely live my life without having to touch it ever again.
On one hand, you cheated with emulators. Real men need no emulators! ;D
On the other hand, god damn you did the only thing I could not accomplish. I tip my hat to you, good sir.
