Pretty much this. We'll accept NSFW content when it's relevant but that's not our primary purpose and we're not going to highlight it.

Well I mean ... I could imagine someone writing an article about nudity/censorship between regions on retro video games and (understandably so) looking for sprites from the biggest sprite archive on the internet.
But maybe that warrants its own thread, even. It's an interesting topic on its own and maybe people know about cases not archived even on tSR.
The Cutting Room Floor has the nsfw template, which might have some leads to lewd stuff buried in games and/or between regions, but I didn't check all the links out.

The thing is, someone writing an article comparing censorship between regions will be looking at specific games already. The sheets aren't hidden (assuming you've turned off the filter from the top of the page) on the game page itself - they're all obviously marked - so there shouldn't be any issue finding them in that case.
