hi, im back with a little project I did

the story behind this is that on time a play a flash game called super mario crossover where you could play characters from other franchise in super mario bros and so, I played samus and since it give the option to change the visual, I chose super mario bros all star style. with I take the nes samus skin, another thing I could do, since it fit with the style better than the super metroid. but I was wishing for a better fitting skin for the style so came this idea to my head ( still doesn't mean I can use the skin for the game dough)

so like I said , I edit the nes samus sprite , using the varia suit upgrade palette from zero mission, I give her iconic varia suit  and change a little bit the sprite , so its not a simple recolor. ps: I like how the running animations turn out. (ok the arm is a little weird, but the animation was still weird in 8-bit)

what I add in the future is edits to make edit for upgrades ( no grappes beam), animation for missile and shooting in general. so feedback is appreciate !
Very Nice! You might want to put your name on it and add a bit more in the ways of content.

[Update01]

well, it took me a long time to post an update for the project, but still made alot of progress since then. So,here it is.

- lets starts with my new and improve sprite for samus. i have pretty much improved the old sprite in any way. i also create new palettes for the varia and gravity suit (well, only the orange/violet change between the two, for my convenience)

added sprite for any directional shooting while standing/running/jumping, spinning  jump with and without the smeares of the spacejump and hold on ledge sprite.

my new samus sprite:

i know most of them lack the sort-of spikes? on the shoulder pad, and some of the angles for the blaster are weird, but i couldn't figure out out to make them look nice for me...  beside that, i'm quite proud of them.

- Next is the upgrades. Since this project consist of putting  the NES sprite of samus into the mario levels, i've decided to concentrate on the upgrades that are useful for the traversal of thoses. also, i thought that it would be fun to keep the powerups in the style of the nes game, while also providing modern style alternative as an option. While obviously including the powerups from the original, i've added the super missiles, powergrip, spiderball, plasma beam, the speed booster(and shinespark),springball and reserves(bc why not).

heres the upgrades and the projectiles: ( left is the item/ right the projectiles). the rest of the collectibles upgrades sprite will come later thought. probably only in retro style to make them fell less like recolors, while also changing the sprite for the modern missiles as a may haven't change them enough to be greenlit.

Screw attack & speedbooster palettes cycle/[based on the colors of the screw attack in Mretroid NES because both kill on touch]

animations:

the basic mouvements:
