I need help to add textures, In 3ds Max 2011, when I set the thing to Smooth + Highlights, I just gives me the model fully black? Can someone help.

Checked out your model ("Cookie fixed") and I think I found an issue or two that, if corrected, will get you out of the mud and back down the highway.

1. Your model is actually two models. All of your polygon objects that start with "f0_" are one model and all of the polygon objects that start with "f1_" are another model.

2. The models' normals are all mixed up. Select the faces and reverse/align as needed until they are all the direction you need them to be.

Took another look and found that your UVs need to be adjusted to fit the textures.
How do the UVs need to look like
Ideally they would be relaxed onto the texture map.

Right now they display like this:

Without a reference I assume it should look like this:

I just added another model for anyone to look at, I been wanting to rip that model for years and years, also the bad news is that I only have 7 days left for my 3ds Max.
