I know it doesn't appear in the original's sprites but you should add the two giant spikes near the eyes that he had in the official artwork. I can show you the picture if you need me to.

I don't speak for Ray, but it's really irritating when people tease with references when they could otherwise be contributing. Yeah?
I prefer the new one to the old one, but it might look cool if you tried to make it look glossier. If I remember right, you fight it in a dank looking part of a broken ship. So looking glossier might add to that effect.

Thanks y'all,
I found the references deathbringer mentioned on image search, I think the huge spikes add a pretty cool 'monstrous' touch to the sprite.
I've more or less redone the entire lower body and eye, too.
What do you guys think? Does it fit with the MZM style? What needs to change?
Will do a sheet once all the problems with the sprite are sorted.
Again, many thanks in advance. xD

Actually, the older eye looks better than the newer one, 'cuz now it looks like the eye is bugged out of the socket. Otherwise, the skin and other palettes look better.

Any better?
Closer to the old eye in size/shading but still a little bigger and obviously the colour has changed. Compared to the last one up there, which I agree was way too big and bugged out. :p

I still say he needs a red eye, and I don't mean flights.

woah, this is actually pretty cool
but if you used the orange/red palette from the old one it'd look a lot better imo

Hey y'all, I've put together an image showing all the eye styles I was considering.
Can you tell me which is the one to go with for the full sheet? (Please disregard 4 and 5, since they're pretty fugly.)
Thanks.

Whoa. That is the coolest Super Metroid related remake I have ever seen. I think that's what I meant to say. I don't know that much about spriting to be honest. But damn, you made that thing look cooler than it already was.

Maybe hopin' for more, though, right? Next, Mother Brain!

Beh! I'll just make the sheet and include eyes 1, 2 & 3 as extras, so people can use whichever they want. XD
Thanks, everyone. Will try to get it done later.

Wow, I'm liking these remakes alot. Almost all of the time, these don't turn out well at all. Your proved otherwise. I expect great things from you. Keep up the good work.
