He was commenting on the dithering you added to the rocks a bit earlier.
I think the only real problem now is the sharp contrast between the different shades of grass. if you can reduce that, and make the transition from light at the bottom to darker at the top smoother (say, go up a small shade every half-tile instead of every tile) it should look pretty good.
I do like that grass texture, though, any way you slice it.

Nice! Is that all you're doing? Or will you make a whole sheet of it?

Fixed the rocks, getting started on the grass.

Gah! What'd you do to the rocks? You took away the dithering!
It looked so much better with dithering.
You just needed to add a little dithering to all of the rocks instead of just those larger ones.

... buti...itwas...I thought people were complaining about the dithering. I'm thoroughly confused. On another note, I fixed the grass.

One of your large rocks looks like a brown wire-frame; a work-in-progress that isn't finished. In this case, "fix the texture" meant "fix the lack of a good texture."
Grass looks better, but I would like to confirm that you see how there are very, very distinct, straight, horizontal lines between the shades. We've been saying you need to get rid of those lines.

The problem with the "lines" is because the grass is shaded as if the lightsource is coming from the screen instead of the sky. Your current way of doing the grass makes it look like one big gradient of green.

The top arrow shows a line that I didn't actually notice until I zoomed in; put a little bit of dithering there and it'll be fine;
The middle arrow shows because of inconsistency in the blades of grass; make a couple of the lighter ones cross the line and fade a bit rather than just disappear;
The bottom arrow's line shouldn't be too hard to fix; The fact that a line is there is fine, just make it more jagged instead of perfectly horizontal.

M'kay, I'm gonna go with standard beat-em-up style and stick with no gradient, seems like too much work for too few results. But otherwise, minor update on the rocks.

Necro-bump.

The line at the top seems too thick, and the tree leaves bush thing is kind of hanging to one side. It'd look nicer if you moved it left a little. Also, the tree stump looks a little malformed. Other than that, lookin pretty rad.
