Currently, I try to extract some resources of an old game called Arcatera
I was able to extract most content including videos in smk and bik format with RAD tools and some images in brg files, which seems to be a custom format of Westka with the help of some information found in The Famous Four threat. There are still some brg files, which I still can't decode because of some internal packed or compression format I can't identify.
However, the sprites seems to be within files ending on vqp. Using TextureFinder, I was able to see some structure using an 8 Pixel Bit Format looking like a sprite and a big header file. I tried Pixel Bit Format, With Palette (as I assumed the header to be a palette) and quad formats, but with no better result than seen in the attachment jpg. I'm really confused by the pattern as it seems to decode quite nice some rows, but then mess up the rest, just like the sprites are moved around in the file...
Can you help me with this format? I'm thankful for any support...
Sorry here is the right attachment as jpg export of TextureFinder....
