Was a really neat surprise this morning and absolutely liked it, in fact it is one of the best site looks that I've seen for a bit.
Even liked the Dazz "Select a Letter" bit, gives it the personal touch.
Interesting yet ego-ing idea, but most people would rather search the sheet that they are looking for (Mario, Pokémon) than who it is by. Besides it throws off when the ripper might use an alias like in the past or when the ripper accidentally mispells the name.

It kind of lags abit with the huge amount of images (sprite tags, plus a lot of other images) when I use search, but it will sure looks more organized.

it's already been stated the lag will be fixed

Great work on everything.
It'll definitely be much easier for the standard user to find what they're looking for from now on.

I'm gonna miss the day when all Mario sprites were in the same section.
I fear that customs are going to be overshadowed by rips. I mean before, customs and rips were in the same categories by games. So when a person searching that game would see that awesome custom he'd say: "Oh cool, I'm totally using this in my comic."
But now, who's gonna bother clicking that tiny box "customs"? Nobody. Because most of the time, people don't know what they're looking for, they'll just click a few things and see what they like.
And now, I hear customs won't be even on the site for MONTHS! This is worse than I thought it was going to be.
I'm all depressed...

I've a question and a spotted error
Q: There are MLSS Customs and edits. That section is gone. There's still a subsection in the Original MLSS section, but there are only 2 sheets.
Could you please bring them back, if ya can?
E: When I clicked on the recources button, I came to an old page, and when I cliced on the Nintendo Button on that old page, the 404 page appears (duh). So the recources page must be redisinged too. The staff probarbly forgot that.

Much better than before. In fact, it was so much better it got me to re-register and say that it was much better than before... and also to point out a few mistakes in the other topic.
Though my main suggestion would be to remove (or replace) your "SELECT A LETTER" image. I dunno, it just doesn't seem right to plaster yourself on a dozen pages. I'm not sure if it delievers the right message.
In fact to be honest it's probably a lot better just to have a giant list rather than 27 letter pages. I've heard people say it's a bit inconvienient, and I suppose it probably is for the pages that have like, one sheet on them anyway. If the list of games gets uncontrolably massive, then yeah, go for it. But it should be quite some time before that happens. It's not like you'll be able to organise customs by letter after all.
Also might be nice to move your ICON/TEXT DISPLAY buttons to the opposite side, then you could shift everything down and get yourself a bigger logo.
But nevertheless it's nice to see some delievery in regards to all those "NEW SYSTEM COMING" comments we've heard all these years. Great job!

The image at "Select a Letter" is somewhat a mascot and a representation of Dazz himself. When I think about tSR I think about the rippers here, but also of Dazz, so it's only natural.
It's like a former professor I had in game design: once she had to redesign a line of products, but she couldn't get rid of the mascot, because the owner liked it.
Just out of curiosity: how many sheets are still to upload?
And whoa! You guys uploaded one of my FFMQ sheet and didn't announced :o

The "SELECT A LETTER" image will be changing in a few weeks. We'll be replacing it with our mascot.
We first need the community to make said image.
Having every game appear from the outlet would kill our server. I really don't think that's a good idea. It'd also take a long time to load: However, on seperate pages, it loads much quicker, and really, I don't see how it's "inconvenient"
I don't see what's wrong with the icon and text view buttons being where they are... I mean, they could be elsewhere, but then the entire page wouldn't be good from a design view as it would have completely screwed up symmetry.
Edit:
Ultimecia, there's roughly 860 sheets in our queue.
And less than 2000 custom sheets.
The FFMQ sprite was uploaded by another member of staff and will appear on their next update.

Man, I forgot all about having a new mascot!
01-10-2009, 05:51 PM
so does this mean there isnt going to be a TSR 09 project that results in no updates for half a year?

There was a great struggle between mine and another. I had forgotten who we decided on.
