I think some of you are misconstruing what this project is about. The point of this project isn't to take already existing sprites/models and simply tweak them to the KSSU style. The point is to recreate the sprites in a way that is like how they would be if these things had actually been included in KSSU by the programmers. You should be worrying less about making the sprites look exactly like their poses from their previous games and more on how it should be. Worry less about keeping the size ratio exactly the same and change it to what it ought to be. Worry less about getting colors to match their previous game to the letter and more about finding a color that matches KSSU's style.
Ice Dragon is a perfect example of this (sorry to pick on you specifically but it is a good example). The KDL2 sprites were notoriously cheap, especially for the bosses. Heck, they didn't even include proper walking sprites for Ice Dragon, he just kind of scooted across the ground. Should we expect you to do exactly the same with him? Hell no! Because that's not what KSSU's programmers would have done. That is why I say things like changing the angle or making his height more like that of Dedede. We shouldn't expect you to try to keep the exact same pallet either (especially since the pallet from the sheet your using was from a Super Game Boy and used that pallet for the entire level so the odds of that being his actual intended pallet is pretty low). If anything I would guess that the makers of KSSU would have made his colors more like that of his anime appearance, seen here.
I hope I'm getting my point across. I'm not wording this very well.

Shnaps, if you want an example of what Ice Dragon's palette would be, Dreamland 3 seems to be the closest to something in-game. And for anyone doing Sweet Stuff, his is there too.

Hrmmm... might I suggest these sheets have "build-your-own" sections where necessary? (Like, say they want to put Nago in a game with the Ninja ability or some such... <_<)

Okay so heres the story. I started making 02 and, tbh, I've never worked with this style before and I didn't notice until the end of the body that I had the lightsource wrong. That kinda killed my motivation and the wings pretty much sshow that. So yeah, heres my way outa style 02 WIP thing. Anyone can edit this or whatever. I know the wings need the most work. I MIGHT work on this more later, but it's very late and i'm very tired.

ANYWAYS about the sprite you have very little shading but don't overdue it in your next one. The legs are only one pixel? maybe make them thicker. Shoes blend in together.
Maybe make her eyes smaller so you can fit a mouth. Personally I find the brush a bit big maybe take some of the upper handle off. Her arms don't attach to the shoulder. Last but not least change back round color because I can tell you put black outlines in some places.
And that's all I can find!
Keep going!!! I would love to see more!
The fairy's hair is pink like in this picture http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/scr...een009.jpg Yes, I know it's a jpg the first thing I found when looking up "Kirby 64"
EDIT: A for the marx!]
Oh, so at least it's not totally destroyed
I'm glad this is fixable, but I have a few questions:
1) sould she have more or darker shading? I'm very bad at sprite shading but I can regually shade easily. If you want to shade it or give tips on it, I'll credit you.
2) do you mean the brush is too tall or wide?
3) Are the outline shades to dark or too light?
Thanks!
{edit} One more thing, how do you post a pic without the link and it just being there on the reply?
