Yet some more games on the list down:
ABC Monday Night Football
Brett Hull Hockey 95
Champions World Class Soccer
RPM Racing

At this rate, we should have all the games on the site by at least 5 years time. Yet that pesky Yoshi's Island General Sprites 2 sheet probably will be still on there  Tongue (Seriously though it should be replaced, good by early-mid 2000s standards though). Honestly though didn't expect Angelique to be almost completely ripped. Out of nowhere, some great rips.

Just wondering regarding PGA Tour Golf how to order the courses because they are done via Mode 7. Having all the holes in a course on a sheet would look very messy due to the different sizes and lots of empty space. The other option would be having a hole per sheet, would look clean but would also have a lot of sheets, some big but some smaller. Which one is better?

Also if anyone is curious, did a personal progress report below:

Found the PAL version manual, not sure if it helps: https://archive.org/details/lamborghini-...l/mode/2up
Thanks, it didn't exactly help on what I was looking for (e.g. car models of Player 2 and the rivals, 2P mode is barely mentioned in the manual) but that Super Scope mode is interesting though and wouldn't have founded out by playing the game. Should be enough for me going ahead in terms of ripping, can always edit once its done if I do manage to find out.

On the spur of the moment, ripped from GT Racing. Will be ripping more cars once the list gets down a bit. Interestingly the ROM shows sprites for a bike yet it's a car racing game so I wonder if its an unlockable or a left over from something else?

Ahaha, that damn Yoshi sheet will haunt me forever.
The OP should be updated with the new rips!
You can risk out Spriggan Powered and Super Dunk Star.
Cross off Jack Nicklaus Golf, Newman Hass IndyCar and Race Drivin', would have done more games if it wasn't for health problems.

Still despite that managed to rip pretty much all of the 2D graphics from Race Drivin'.
You're killing these sports games. Thanks so much for that!
Yeah I have... Still slugging it out with more sports games to cross off the list:
*Barkley Shut Up and Jam!
*Cal Ripken Jr. Baseball
*Championship Pool
*NCAA Football
*Pro Quarterback
*Super Soccer Champ
*Suzuka 8 Hours
*Tecmo Super Baseball

At least managed to do NCAA Football off the to-do list that was there for months (from last September, had to completely rerip though due to palette reasons), the backgrounds to Suzuka 8 Hours by refreshing the tilemap viewer like crazy (otherwise you get a status bar that you get 90-95% of the time), took ages to do the portraits on Sculptured Software Tecmo Super Baseball and Pro Quarterback is just bad. Ever heard of sprite breakup on a SNES game? Well that game has it and don't recall any other SNES game doing that. Also working on Pro Sport Hockey, just need to find the alt palettes before that gets uploaded.

Oh and remembered when I said that I was going through the Japanese version of Operation Europe? Well... The bigger ROM was true and at first, it was to do with the text icons but then discovered right at the end of the ROM, the Japanese version has an ending. That's right, an ending with a plane. Ripping this will take some time along with its Genesis counterpart as it is not exactly the right time to rip from a war themed game at the moment and will be ready when it is ready (same thing for Micro Machines Military on the Mega Drive, ripped a bit already but not the right time to continue until it gets more comfortable). Besides with the backlog of sports and racing games for both the SNES and the Genesis to get down first, it should have cleared up.
Updated the first post!
Yet even more sports games to get down:

*Bulls vs Blazers and the NBA Playoffs
*Jammit
*Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour
*Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball
*PGA Tour Golf

Thanks to PGA Tour Golf, it has become my most ripped game. Had to rip that via BizHawk since bsnes-plus has a palette bug. (checks amount of SNES games left in total minus prototypes and hacks). Nearly 1000 left... Ouch...

Even going through quite a lot of sports games, the next step according to the list is war/war themed in some way/strategy games and as mentioned don't feel comfortable doing them at the moment even though Carrier Aces wouldn't take too long. It is getting to that point where the remaining games are going to be ones where they are my weakest genres (puzzle and strategy) as well as a bunch of untranslated Japanese games that may or may not even get past the menus. A shame since one of them caught my eye and thought since when were Ami, Makoto and Naru (or Amy, Lita and Molly) from Sailor Moon in a mahjong game?

Anyway currently working on as of typing in terms of fresh games NCAA Final Four Basketball (the court has plenty of animation giving me a bit of a headache), Super Slam Dunk (it reminds me of TV Sports Basketball on the TurboGrafx, need to get the other palettes), Kawasaki Superbike Challenge (palettes), Hole in One Golf and of course finish off what had already done that would push under the 1000 game left mark. Thinking about ripping the other Nigel Mansell game and maybe Kat's Run but usually in terms of my plans, often rip the game out of the blue anyway. Boot up a game on an emulator and see how it goes tends to be my ripping pattern. Really glad that bsnes-plus and BizHawk exist, I honestly wouldn't have made it this far into the project without them and would have only did a few games, not like 60+. Before those two emulators, it was much harder SNES ripping. So thanks to the emulation authors for making this possible.  Smile

If anyone else wants to rip SNES games, they can do. Just because have taken quite a lot on, it doesn't mean that it would put you off ripping. There are plenty of good SNES or licensed games still available.

Oh just a question, regarding the Japanese made baseball games that also got US versions (e.g. Super Bases Loaded "series", Super Battle Up is related to the Famista series). Are they all going to be separate Japanese and US versions (Korean in the case of Hanguk Pro Yagu) or is it going to be case by case?
Hi, I'm Nigel Mansell with yet another racing game.

Yep. Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing is ripped. Just the backgrounds for now, might come back for more.

Outside of that game, the following are also ripped:
David Crane's Amazing Tennis
GP-1
GP-1: Part II
Wheel of Fortune
Wheel of Fortune Deluxe

Took three attempts to rip the Malaysia background on GP-1 Part 2 as the game kept glitching (first time there were no backgrounds and the palette was glitched, the second was just the sky background). As an added bonus since Zico Soccer is ripped, nearly all of the letters in the sports genre are now filled. Yay. Just have to find a Y, same for the racing.

Regarding Lamborghini American Challenge. Some good news, the portraits are done and most of the player car sprites are too. The issue are the cars themselves. This is the Diablo Roadster. As you can see this is how the sprites are set up in the ROM after arranging the tiles. Before uploading on here, is it okay? (and yes, I've just noticed a mistake on the title, it'll be fixed on the site) Something bugs me but that's how it appears due to the limitations of the SNES tile format.

Still wondering about the Japanese sports games and how they should be handled as there are a couple of sports games that are either ripped or reserved.

Oh and here's another progress report:
Updated! Thank you!

What do you need me to do for the Bases Loaded differences? Are they do different that we can't put them all in the same section?
Had a feeling that it would happen... Explaining it all is going to take a lot and makes matters worse is that stuff like this isn't documented online.

Super Bases Loaded 1 is simple enough. Both SBL and Super Professional Baseball share a lot with each other so it makes sense to have it as the same section. It's the usual change the title screen, a few graphics, language, possibly fix the odd bug.

Super Bases Loaded 2, I'm not sure and did a double check just to be safe. In Japan, it is its own game (Super 3D Baseball, called that due to Mode 7) that is not part of a series (the US didn't get Super Professional Baseball 2) and one of the few Korean adapted SNES games.

The changes that I'm aware of are:
-Different title screens and obviously the language
-Super 3D Baseball has licensed teams, Hanguk Pro Yagu also has but for the Korean league but Super Bases Loaded 2 are all made up so they all get different icons.
-Graphical changes towards the three stadiums in all three versions to reflect measurements, setting and language. This is a lot more than Extra Innings and some of it is hard to notice. Pro Yagu doesn't have a dome stadium unlike the other two.
-S3B and HPY have a continuous theme while SBL2 is the odd jingle.

Personally it would be all in the same section because while they are changes, the bulk of the game is the same.

Super Bases Loaded 3 however is a lot and I mean a lot of changes where the only similarity is that they both use the same engine. Think along the lines of say Shatterhand. The irony is that this is the only one where in Japan, it is part of their Moero series, the same series that the NES Bases Loaded games were based off. Interestingly, this is one of the few SNES games in both versions that uses the hi-res mode for the pitching/batting, the same mode that is in RPM Racing and the menus for Trials of Mana.

-Firstly SBL 3 uses a 16Mb cartridge while Super Moero uses 12Mb, this is the only documented change online.
-Moero has all the Japanese teams with their team logos while SBL3 is only semi-licensed. No logos and just state names however the players are licensed.
-Both do however have 3 styles of stadium...
-Menus are different but function the same.
-SBL3 has an intro with the players and playing the national theme, Moero doesn't.
-SBL3 has the players walking to the field to take their hit, Moero doesn't.
-Moero has a continuous theme playing while SBL3 has jingles, one of them being the Addams Family.
-Even someone who is really bad at baseball games can get a homerun with Ken Griffey Jr. with a bit of luck, Moero doesn't have Ken Griffey Jr.

The most important thing, a lot of different graphics! (have to link it since it doesn't see to show up otherwise...)
Super Bases Loaded 3
Taking the Bat (Pitcher/Batter View, Dome)
Field (Dome)
Pitcher/Batter View (Field)
Field

Super Moero!! Pro Yakyuu
Pitcher/Batter View (Dome)
Field (Dome)
Pitcher/Batter View (Field)
Field

This is why I asked for help... Looking it at alone, the graphic changes between Super Bases Loaded 3 and Super Moero!! Pro Yakyuu are enough where a game icon wouldn't match between the two versions.

While we're here, Super Batter Up and Super Famista also have completely different graphics despite using the same engine. SBU has a more realistic graphic style while Super Famista uses an evolved style of RBI Baseball (that is a Famista game in Japan).
