I’ve always been into Rock music myself but I never got far enough to get into a field. I remember being really excited to join the choir in elementary school but I was rejected because I wasn’t good enough. I never really seriously pursued the field after that but I’ve always been mildly interested in it (I’m still a terrible singer though lol).
Mhmm. I'd feel invalidated if I'd been told I were bad. It would suck.
Yeah, funnily enough my art teacher basically told me the same thing in High School. He didn’t exactly tell me I was bad but I was rejected from the advanced art class and he called my house to tell my parents how much better of an artist my brother was than me. It’s true but that really killed my self esteem and enthusiasm for a long time. Even now, I mostly just play a support role to my brother’s art. For our Brawl mods, my brother actually made the models themselves and I did all of the textures.
Oh, crap, I'm so sorry to hear that, bro, that's rough. I myself was in my brother's shadow a lot too. It sucks.
Nah, I’m used to it. It’s actually fun playing a supporting role to my brother’s talents. The problem is that neither of us really have any ambition, him even less so than me. That’s the main reason we’ve stayed away for so long and have mostly been content with normal day jobs. I did just speak with Pik last night after about a year and he said he no longer plans on making Magus so I’ll have to pick that one back up myself. The biggest hurdle is convincing my brother to help out because our mods were always a team effort between the two of us.
Lucky you. I grew up envious and needy as a result of my situation. But the poor guy has multiple handicaps and can't do much so he needed the extra attention haha.
Sounds like fun!
Let me know how the Magus goes!
