Added:
- Densetsu Bishin Zoku - Character Select
- Doukyuusei - Splash & Title
- Doukyuusei - Splash Fairy
- Dragon Slayer: Eiyuu Densetsu - Splash & Title
All for SNES, although Dragon Slayer looks like an NES game, even worse than Ys IV.
For Doukyuusei: It's completely in Japanese and as a VN, completely unplayable for people who don't know the language.
For Densetsu Bishin Zoku: Part racing game like Mario Kart with Mode 7 racetracks and also a Beat 'em up if you wreck your car. Out of the three, it looks the most interesting to make more rips from, especially the cutscenes.
Added:
- Edo no Kiba - Buddha Statue
The main problem for new players will be launching the player characters boomerang attack.
Press the attack button to slash, hold it to form a shield and release it while pressing forward for the boomerang.
Without the boomerang, area boss 3 (the buddha) is impossible.
Incomplete rips from Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Go Go Ackman 1:
Added:
- Title & Splash Screen from Lagoon (SNES)

These games have such awesome sprite work. I can't believe we don't have anything for them yet.
Added:
- Obitus
- Super Naxat Pinball: Jaki Crush
- Xak: The Art of Visual Stage
Title, splash, intro, etc., all SNES.
Added:
- X-Zone (SNES)
All SNES with the letter X are now ripped (at least from this list:
https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-39674.html
Mission Briefings and Stage 1, but also this:
This was supposed to be a quick rip, but no, multiple issues have shown:
- one 8x8 block had to be moved 2 pixels by hand because this is how it looks ingame (row 1, frame 5)
- multiple variants of the same sprite exist ingame, sometimes certain parts are white, sometimes green
- these antenna parts are awful, there are even parts which are not in the VRAM but I add them to the tiled variants anyway
Should have tried the ball enemies or missiles.
Added:
- MechWarrior - various maps
- MechWarrior 3050 - carrier ship
- Syvalion - title
All for SNES.
Magic Sword, Ghost Enemy.
You can easily see that the frames from the ZSNES screenshots are darkened, while the vSNES palette is brighter. This is why I rip palettes too, sometimes ZSNES screws up colours by darkening sprites (Magic Sword) or randomly changing colour shades of backgrounds (Ys: Mask of the Sun, Secret of Evermore).
It just makes it easier to determine if you have true colours or not.
Added:
- Holy Umbrella - Dondera no Mubou!! -> Dondera Kong
- Magic Sword: A Heroic Fantasy -> Cloaked Ghost
- R-Type III: The Third Lightning -> Stage 2 Background
All for SNES.
lord of the rings for snes, pages are sprites and need extra ripping, wip
Added:
J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings: Volume One
The book animation is kinda famous in RPG Maker circles.
Cacoma Knight in Bizyland, wip
Got myself a tool called ZAMN Level Editor, v.0.9.6 Beta and test-ripped level 3 (currently in revision)
https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/z...eighbours/
While it's not possible to get the sprites, level ripping is pretty easy. The stuff currently on the site is either cut off and/or wasn't resaved in graphics software like PhotoFiltre which makes each sheet ca. 100kb bigger than it should be.
There is also unneccessary stuff on them like the level name, which should go into the icon while the font needs its own sheet. Luckily, all fonts can be accessed with the editor.
Edit: Submitted the fonts and doing all the levels now
Edit 2: All levels got a re-rip.
