I'd about a specific game they had ripped. Unfortunately, they didn't have the sprites anymore, and they recommended me using the program texER, to extract them. But when I try to open the program, it opens briefly and then closes on its own. Does anybody know how to solve this?
I'm trying to rip the portraits and art out of Eternal Poison for PS2, and any guidance would be very helpful.
"Briefly opens then closes" usually means a command-line tool, which needs to be run with the required parameters, which you do by typing them in after the program name in the command prompt.
To save time navigating to the folder with the files, on Windows 10 and up, if you hold shift while right clicking in or on a folder, you can open the command line (may be Powershell instead) there directly.
Some other tricks for opening the command line where you need it are mentioned here:

I have an older computer. Would the process be different for windows 7?
