'Goddess of Victory: Nikke' has been out for a year now, and I'm interested in assets from the game, but was surprised to find nobody's uploaded any anywhere.
The closest I found is the
Nikke Database, but the live2D and chibi models aren't for download and there are only images from the cutscenes.
I guess this is a general request for Nikke stuff on models-resource and textures-resource, but I'm specifically interested in the 3D chibi models and the background textures.
I did try it myself with AssetStudio, but I could only find sprites and some basic backgrounds. I don't know if it's encrypted, or they just have some weird file format.
[update] I found a lot of files in the appdata folder for unity, including the background textures I was looking for. Although, I had no luck finding the chibi models, bar some static OBJ versions for the world maps.
I can't tell you how to rip from that game,
however... I can tell you how to get the assets off that website.
A very easy and handy tip for websites that have assets you want, like 2D models or 3D models, is to press "F12" and go to the "Network" tab
What you want are the
texture, .atlas, and .skel files for the character model you want to download.
Now, contrary to what the website says, these 2D model files aren't for Live2D, they are for Spine!
https://en.esotericsoftware.com/, the official Spine program costs money, so unless you already have it you might want to try looking for a free viewing program.
I've found one here:
https://github.com/kiletw/SpineViewerWPF, be sure to scroll down to the requirements section.
And that's that, you can load the model and view its animations.
Maybe you can find a better one. As for me, I'm way more familiar with 3D stuff so I can't help beyond this, sorry.
You can do a similar thing with the ".bundle" files for the 3d chibi models. Its being finicky for me though, it requires UABEA for exporting textures, and then using UABEA to remove the textures from the .bundle file so I can export from Asset Studio without texture export errors. Pretty odd.
On an unrelated note, I'm completely unfamiliar with this game, but I can't help but lament that a game with such pretty and fluid 2D art has these abominations of 3D models in comparison! What an absolute shame!
Thanks for the advice! And yeah, the chibi models are pretty low poly compared to other games, but they're tiny on the screen most the time and have minimal shading, so it's really all textures.
Plus, the older characters like Aria are showing their age. The newer ones are much sharper.
Those new models are definitely nicer, but still chibi. I guess that works for what the game is going for. It would be cool if one day they make models closer to the 2D art, though!

Oh, I get what you mean now. Yeah, I figure that's a style choice, since the girls are 2D in battles and the like.
They do have some MMD models for download, but that's really just a promotion.

Got back to this after the holiday chaos and I can find the models now, but only as OBJ files. I'm just exporting it wrong, or if the bones and vertex groups data are contained somewhere seperate in unity projects.
