Well, I thought it was a good idea to get C+C from more experienced
people. It's actually the first totally custom thing I ever made. The first
more difficult one.
Style or fail, guys?
Colors are ok, eye is pillowshaded, a little blocky.
Ooo! Don't reckon I've ever seen that thing before... Does it have a name, Nemica?
This thing's for my fangame. I hope it's okay to post it here anyways.
Divine spider parasite - Triforcala
And I don't know a way to shade the eye differently without making it look strange.
I don't think you've shaded it correctly. It also needs more contrast.
Looks okay, Nemica. The eyes' animations have to be a bit faster, though...
It's not very oracle of ages style, if it has so many colours (OoA is a GBC game...).
How the hell is this even close to OoA style?
Max 4 colors per sprite, one of which is always black, and another is usually transparency.
Regardless of style, Never use the MS Paint circle tool (or the line or rectangle tool for that matter), don't pillow shade, and learn what anti-aliasing is.
well i didnt think it was that bad

I totally agree, not that I know much about spriting but it still looks awesome.
Let me make a point that neither of you obviously understand the targeted goal. And mind you, bosses of Oracle of Ages style tend to look more like
this.
And since he made a point of saying it was in this style we critique as such.
Well, you're right, revamp would fit better. I just thought it was
rather that style than anything else because my game's that style
and I don't stick to GBC restrictions there.

If you don't stick to GBC restrictions, your game isn't OoA style.
Well there ya go man, we need these details as soon as possible to work with, or else how can we point out what needs work?
I'd still reduce those colors though.
