Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Forums are very new to me Tongue

I've been working on sorting the sounds from those giant "Miscellaneous" folders from https://www.sounds-resource.com/wii/kirbyrtdl/ Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Adventure Wii, both for my own personal use and the convenience of other people who would like to use the sounds - across the five of those archives, there are 1500 unlabeled sounds, including what I'm pretty sure are a handful of duplicates. Not just sounds that also appear from the Kirby folder, but also sounds that just appear twice for some reason - and there's probably a lot of these considering that Return to Dream Land itself only listed 1427 sounds in its sound test, meaning around 73 duplicates if there aren't just unlisted sounds.

Anyway, it occurred to me that I might break the rule about having to rip content oneself to upload it by mistake if I did upload the sorted versions here, so I figured it'd be better to ask and be safe than to get banned for breaking it. Is this okay, or no?
This is exactly what revisions are for. Once you’re done (and thank you for taking the time to not only do this but share the results), you can click the pencil icon on the existing submission and submit the new file as a revision. In that process, feel free to add your own name to the submitter list as well (though don’t remove the original submitter) as you will certainly have earned it!
I would do that, but there is a problem. Of the files I have renamed, I haven't kept track of the original numbers, so I don't know which ones came from which folder anymore. I suppose I could guess, but that would likely result in some errors and mixed up ones. Now I don't really know what to do Unsure All I can think of would be to either start over from scratch and keep the numbers this time which would be really painful, but I think the splits were rather arbitrary originally anyway, since they clearly weren't uploaded with any intent of being sorted - that's why I was hoping I could upload them as separate archives until I remembered that rule.
You would be replacing the entire original submission with your reorganized version so original numbers or folders aren’t really an issue.
