hi!! i'm trying to see if i can get the sprites from the ds game deltora quest: the 7 gems (デルトラクエスト 7つの宝石). it was published in ~2007 in japan and never got an eng translation, i couldn't find anything for it?
i've ripped sprites by taking screenshots in the desmume emulator and hiding layers, but it seems like the dialogue sprites are on the same layer as the dialogue box, so they end up having a bit of the dialogue box covering the sprite. so i was wondering if there was a way to just get the sprite image directly? i've tried a few tools like tinke and crystaltile2 but i couldn't really seem to find a way to access the files, though
(i also tried the glintercept method i saw on this forum, but it didn't really work)
this is what i get in tinke:
i tried extracting these files and running them through dsdecmp, but it told me there were no matching compression methods found. are there any other ways i can get access to them?
i've never done anything like this before so i apologize if there's something obvious i'm overlooking! any help would be really appreciated, thank you!! ^.^
