Hi! No clue if this is the right place to ask, but a sprite I've been ripping turned out to be made of a LOT of seperate parts, that make it pretty hard to read what they're supposed to be, like this:

Now I know it's better to keep as much as possible. But the thing is, despite being made of seperate parts, the ingame sprites never actually utilize that. You can see in the last row that I put together how the sprites for that animation would look like. The sprites are always gonna look like that, in this order, as if this guy were actually made up of one very big sprite.

So basically, I wanted to ask if I should
1. keep the parts purely separate and just focus on making the would-be animations as guessable as possible
2. put them together like in the last row so the sprites are actually spriting but taking the loss in the process
3. do both which makes for the most complete + readable sprite sheet but might be a bit overkill...? (I mean I'd do it but it also takes Quite A While and don't know if it's even allowed)

Not even just for this one but in general

That's basically it, been wrecking my brain for a while now how to go about this haha
