I like it. by the way, how do I post stuff on the site?
Upload it to an image hosting site (that allows hotlinking), and post a link to it (or use the [img] tags) in your submissions thread or, in this case, the project thread. You should also post an icon for it (or embed the icon, and link that to the sheet, like I do). If it's acceptable an uploader will upload it to the site.
Read the
Submissions Forums for beginners thread, it's explained better there (along with other stuff you should know).
Have an update.
I'm thinking of putting some animations next to each other to save blank space, I already did so with the water blobs.
Also, do you guys know what's up with the single frame of him holding a hammer? I found it and just put it there, but I'm wondering if I should leave it or not, or even if it's used (in the overworld at least).
That single frame with him holding the hammer is probably just a cutscene pose. You should leave it in.
Wow, that Mario sheet is so good! You're doing an awesome job.
I'm really sorry but I have to pull out of this project just as soon as I joined. My exams are pilling up and I don't have the time. plus, my computer got hacked and my hard drive was wiped clean. I am deeply sorry.
Can I join this project? Since it's summer I have a lot of time on my hands.
Sure, go right ahead! As long as you know what you are doing.
It's an open project. Anyone can join!
Mario Overworld is here!
There we go, all finished! This includes both Mini Mario and Blue Shell Mario, found near the bottom of the sheet. If you guys think they should go in their own sheets, or both in one sheet, then I don't mind doing that.
You'll also notice that I made a new note about the purple backgrounds. If you want me to change it (or remove the backgrounds altogether) I can do that too.
Any other final suggestions are welcome too. If this is fine though, then feel free to upload it to the site. I think the current icon is fine.
I'll take a wee break, then get to work on Mario Battle!
This is awesome!
Your patience astounds me.
This sheet is definitely complete. Good job!
Wow, been a while since this thread has been touched! It's the summer holidays for me now, and I got a wired mouse (my wireless one chewed up batteries really quickly and I was restricted to my trackpad for a while), so I've finally been able to get to work on Mario Battle.
Here's what I've got so far.
Tiny question, what should I do with the sprites for when Luigi faints and Mario carries him? There's quite a number of them, and while I could put them in the same sheet, they could also have their own. Any suggestions on which I should do?
Also, I found the sprites for Bros. items, and saw that some of the existing sheets for those are slightly lacking. I also found Bowser's special moves, I could do those in-between Mario Battle (since they're not very hefty), or leave them for Ridge (since he's claimed Bowser Battle, they kind of count as part of it I guess).
I completely forgot about this, but thanks for reviving it. Anyway, to answer your question, you may as well do something like this:

Too be honest, I wish I could've come up with a better name for that sheet, but oh well.
