Made a combination of both.

I tried the face a little.

Pretty awesome, though the eye needs to be finished.

That face is better, and for the body, try making it look more like fur than a shiny plastic

I like the other one better. The eyes and ears are better, the mouth area doesn't look so....koopa-y..... (making up words), and the mouth is better shaped. The shading on both aren't the best....
