How are we going to do effects?
Effects aren't that hard to sprite. I don't think you should have much to worry about.

i agree with tyvon, sprited effects look way better and if we want we can just apply a transparency filter or something.

Also, should we sprite all of the tilts animations? The only useful one is the down tilt(IMO).
Or the item animations like the fire curry or tripping on a banana? Spriting all of the item animations would take way to much time for each character. We should take out some of them(like the banana. Who need a fucking banana anyway)
These animations all look beautiful. Ness is my favorite Smash Bros. character, so I love all this progress you're making with him. Smile

As for the item-specific animations, I wouldn't worry about them for now. I think the idea is just to get some complete characters out there.

Hmm, something looks a bit off. I think his neck/shoulders should move and the mouth seems to be too high on his face.
the body should curve with the head. Also the hat's right (our) part should curve a lil' more
Agreed with that, maybe perhaps thin his head so it doesn't look like its rest on his shoulders that much
