Maybe he can have his hands up to his face, with a scared look, while looking around in fear. I can take a crack at it if you want me to.

He probably wouldn't have a fearful look all the time. If anything, he'd look like he was ready to fight, but at the same time, like he was putting on a show, so, acting tough, but ready to run and hide at a moments notice.

we should have him look less like a coward, and more like someone who's fighting their own fear. if he looks to cowardly he would be more of a comic relief

Not worried at all times. Maybe a "o" face and he looks behind him occasionally.

We could just give him a more frantic/jittery/nervous Ness Idle

Looking awesome, Solink! I do think the arms could use a bit of improvement. They seem too stiff and inorganic right now.

Many thanks for moving forward the animation for at least one character, though :D

The arms are moving to slowly. Let them be more bouncy and free.

It kinda looks like he's playing basket ball now. You should use the 1st one since it doesn't move so much, but to make it look more natural and "bouncy", you should make his arm wobble at the same pace of his body. Maybe even make him fold his hands?

I tried the animation without the arms moving and I think I like this one better :]
(I also tried running like Ness does and my arms do not move)
