it's not even that bad what the dicks are you talking about
seriously
it just feels really lacking right now so of course it's not going to look great
i mean like
there should be some delay(a few extra frames) on each extreme of the turn where he slows down and everything kind of catches up etc etc
i suck at explaining im sure someone else can explain it better

I kinda feel like one of his feet should move a little bit or something along those lines?

What is the problem with the sword ? It moves VERY unnaturally. May I suggest moving the point of it a bit less and the hand a bit more.

The big problem is that his head and feet are pinned down. They have to move too for it to look natural.

Make him bounce a little while he rocks back and forth.

Are we talking about Sploder's sprites or Ran's animation?
The bounce looks really nice in Ran's. If that's the one we're working on, could you just post the sprites for the animation? For little touch-ups and what-not.

oh wow ran posted one
yeah i like that one better but the bounce looks more like he's just cranking out squats
though that's an easy fix

I think that we should combine aspects of both Ran's and Sploder's.

Well, I don't think I was able to improve it that much. I also couldn't figure out how to make his head move (other than having it turn a bit, or something).
Anyway, yeah, Ran's looks much better, but it still doesn't make me think of Marth, but maybe Roy, mainly because I don't really remember Marth ever moving like that. But it still looks better right now.
EDIT: Oh wow, in FE11, he really doesn't turn nearly as much as what I have...

I think you should start over.
Instead of making him sway his hips like that, you should make him bob Up and Down like Ran's example.

Something like this: yes/no?
I really don't want to have him bob up and down; it just seems to be too much for him, and not very "dignified."
EDIT:Though, if everyone really wants bobbing up and down, I can move on the the running anim and let Ran take the idle pose, if Ran doesn't mind.

The difference is that hi shoulders in the FE11 (?) sprite are going up and down. In the one we have they're rotating back and forth.

I just used this as a source. Although the angle sucked, I couldn't find a better source to animate off of. So yeah.
As for his FE11, it looks okay, but he would like too static, and .
And I agree with the bobbin, but a more natural idle stance requires at least 1 pixel of up and down to animate a breathing like nature or rhythmic stance.

Updated, Tried the cape.
Not sure too sure if I could do anymore on the Idle.
Changed the face back. IMO it looks better.
