Looks pretty good to me.

Okay just remember that in Brawl his body is either facing the screen or away from it. I don't know if that's what we're doing here.

I think that was because it was mostly WarioWare Wario's style of movement, which of course applied to both because it was pretty much just a skin change around the 3d model. But since we're using sprites anyways, as long as the animations are the same length they don't have to be identical.
But yeah, I guess it should be decided how we do it now.

this may be difficult, but what if we made Wario have two different movements the plumber Wario, and walks like he does in the Wario Wii game (forgot what it was) and is in the stance right now, and the Biker Wario is in the stance in Brawl, and walks like it.

Yeah, keep in mind that the sprites don't have to be 100% faithful to Brawl.
10-25-2009, 11:16 PM
Um I don't think we're going to change the movements from Biker Wario to Overalls Wario. Its just an appearance change right Ton?

Yeah, although it might be easier to sprite WarioWare movement (as it's more sharp and jaggedy - almost similar to G&W) I think I would prefer regular Wario movement.

Hm then that goes to question how he's going to run.

This is kinda what I meant, but there's two problems with that. The animations would likely be different lengths, which could be problematic for coding; and it would mean that the second costume wouldn't really be an edit so much as it would be a complete re-do - making for more spriting.
And now that I think of it Wario has three costumes anyways. (Although, movement wise, Wario Man would be better suited to being an edit of Biker Wario anyways)

I think a "re-skin" is the way to go with the sprites.

So would Wario look better with the purple Pikmin's purple palette?

Hm I wonder why we're starting with Overalls Wario.
