Would the work for Sapphire/Ruby?
I don't remember any pokémon you just get.
Alright, update. I just defeated Giovanni at the Silph Building in Saffron. Current Team is
Lapras lvl 26 (I was able to raise her one level after only fighting Giovanni because I would put her first and then switch. I did this for all 4 of his Pokemon, and the combined exp was enough)
Flareon lvl 42
Venusaur lvl 50
Hitmonchan lvl 34
Day 2 - June 2nd
-Barely made it through Rock Tunnel with only Charizard
-Arrived in Lavender Town
-Immediately headed to Celedon City to Obtain Eevee
-Obtained Tea, Gave Tea to Security guy
-Bought Thunderstone
-Trained Eevee a bit, then Evolved him into Jolteon
Current Team:
Blaze(Charizard) Lv. 45
Volt(Jolteon) Lv. 30
Wow, this is awesome, guys.
Maybe I'll do one with Squirtle.
And maybe we can do an FAQ with our tactics for each one and submit it to GameFAQs.
I'm trying something else.
Mono-pokemon game in Sapphire. I never catch any other pokemon, [unless it's for an HM at which point I will not train it and I will leave it feinted] and release all given to me.

Alright, as soon as I got surf and beat Koga (you need to beat him to use surf) I went down to Pallet and surfed to Cinnibar. I got Areodactyl and Kabuto. I dropped Kabuto at the Daycar and raised Areodatcyl to lvl 15. Kabuto was at 14. THen I switched (put Areodactyl in the Day Care and raised Kabuto. I plan to do this switching thing until both are around 35, at which time they will join my team.
Nice idea with the Day Care.
Ok, so enough of my day by day posts, I'll just type like normal now
I got through the Ghost Tower, got Hitmonchan, taught him the 3 Punches, beat a Snorlax, and I'm heading to fuchsia City

I don't want to sound like a n00b, but can you do this on Gold & Silver? It's been a long time since I played so I can't remember what Pokemon I got...
Not sure if you can do it on any others. I think you get an Eevee and Beldum in Ruby/Sapphire, but I'm not sure what else.

You can also get a Wynaut Egg in Lavaridge Town. Old Lady by the hot spring.
I started the challenge a few days ago
Then I got Golden Sun :C
But uh I have The Boulder badge and...Misty...badge...
But I picked Charmander and now it's a charmeleon at Lvl. 33 :C Right now I'm just trying to make it a Charizard.

Thanks. I couldn't do it anyway since the battery that let me save my data in Gold is broken.

Off the top of my head, in Gold/Silver, you could get:
Starter
Togepi
*daycare egg? or is it Crystal only?*
Eevee
Shuckle
Tyrogue
*Dratini, but this is probably Crystal only*
I might try this later in FR/LG. Maybe. I don't want to get addicted to FR/LG again
