The game plays very well. 8-way movement, and the hero moves swiftly. Besides the obvious larger screen, play the NES version instead of the GBC version. The NES version is 100x better than the GBC remake, and of the mistakes the GBC version made, one was NOT using the original NES music. Still remember it even though I hadn't played the game in years.
I used to own an actual cartridge of this game since 1990. Sadly, never completed it.
And one of the things the GBC version screwed up was changing the order of the final bosses. Completely changes the story from stopping an evil empire from claiming the floating fortress to stopping an evil empire after they claimed the fortress (if they didn't already own it from the start...)
And to Hylianfox. As someone with fond memories of this game. Very very nice job with the rips.
If/when you do the regular enemies, think you could also include the coins they drop when you kill them (or maybe with some sort of other element from the game instead. Whatever's cool)?

^^Pretty much this. I've been thinking of ripping the GBC version after I'm done with the NES version, but I probably won't.
Also, according to the GBC version, Draygon actually
built the floating tower as opposed to claiming it(or trying to claim it, as in the NES version)as his own. So they essentially made it the 'Death Star' of the Draygonia Empire... which of course is a lame cliche.
For your question, oh yes, I already have all of the different coin types ripped. I just need to make the sheet.
EDIT: Ask and ye shall receive.
Most excellent fellow. I can't wait for DYNA and it's effects.

Here ya go. I hope it's OK considering DYNA is almost all background.
Wicked! This game really does have amazing graphics for a NES game, eh? Almost SNES quality!
EXCELLENT! I'm happy. I always love evil computer thingies. Good job good sir!
Ok, So I'm playing this game now completely because of this topic. I have yet to pop it into my PSP, so I'll let you guys know my thoughts on it.
Crystalis is such an excellent action/adventure game. It needs more love and I'm glad to see ripping done from it.
Sorry for the lack of updates, the Vampire's smoke effect is a pain in the ass to rip separately. I have a sheet for it in the first post, but I'm not too happy with it....
Anywho, here's the Intro! October 1, 1997 -THE END DAY-
Titles are up!
Be sure to vote for Crystalis at GameFAQs today, it hasn't gotten much love.
God Slayer? That's such a sick name, that's awesome.
yeah, I've been playing God Slayer to see if there are any graphical differences compared to Crystalis(besides the title, which is obvious). So far, I have yet to see anything out of the ordinary.
Also, here's the sheet most of you have probably been waiting for! (and wondering why the hell I haven't gotten to yet)
I dare you to make a more comprehensive sheet than that. ^^
Wow! Awesome job. Why is he green in some?
