didn't someone say that we were going to keep that for later? I don't remember it very well.
welp, it's already gone.
I don't know if anyone has suggested this before or if it's even a feasible suggestion, but is it possible to create tags for sheets? A lot of sheets have content that can't be adequately expressed in the icon or title of a sheet when searching through sheets.
I really have no idea how stuff like that is implemented, so I don't know if it would be a worthwhile function. However, it would be a cool way to stumble upon sheets that contain useful content that you wouldn't find otherwise through a standard search.
I've had fairly god luck searching for sheets by their names in the search box, and tags would probably boost the results a lot.
Yes but do you really want to edit tags for over 10k-ish sheets? Do you know how long that would take?
there is an ish there for a reason, wasn't exactly sure of the number so I went safe and did a low number.
More like 50k if you want to tag the other resources as well.
Plus one would have to decide on what tags to use, having to retag everything in case decisions change.
You can check the exact number by looking on the
stats pages.
Yeah, that's why I didn't think it was really feasible.
Regardless of feasibility (which I think we all agree is pretty low), how often is it that the name of the sheet doesn't do enough to describe its contents (genuine question - not sarcasm).
It's that sometimes certain sheets depending on the type of sheet hide something inside it that can't necessarily be referenced through the icon or title of the sheet. Using one of mine as an example, let's say someone was desperately looking for penguin sprites for some reason. The bosses from Little Nemo for the NES include a giant penguin, but that wouldn't really be reflected normally.
I feel like the feature would be helpful, but incredibly tedious to implement, pretty much offsetting its usefulness. :/
Ah, okay. That makes sense. As you said though, tagging 43k sprites, especially at that level of detail, would be a massive undertaking so I'm not sure how likely it is to happen.
Separate Request forums for like Model related request, Sprites, Textures and Sounds related requests

We only need one Request section that can be use for anything.
Well, I found it kinda annoying well, meh nvm
One general Requests forum is fine, as long as the person posting the thread specifies what their thread is about in the thread title.
