With the changes that are going to be made to the system, we are beginning to involve the resources part of our name into the site even more.
Meaning, it should be shown a bit more - people hardly ever go to the section of the site, and I think that's because people don't really know what's in it.
Tutorials are rarely viewed.
So I think we should rearrange our navigation to incorporate the resources more;
This is by no means a finished product, but the idea is there - feel free to give your own ideas.
If you feel like we could have better buttons, then please show us how we should do it.
I like that!!! It shows that there's more to the site.
IMO the only ones that should be on the side bar are the more significant ones (terms, tutorials, top spriters, who are we, submit, maybe affiliates)
I also like the idea. I don't have any ideas on how to improve on your design though at the moment.
I preferred the style of buttons that was similar to the icons.
But they new layout looks more useful and easy to navigate.
I'm always for trying to give more attention to thing people don't seem to go to much.
Now if we can only do something for the Customs section wahaha!
The customs section is already on the front page and large enough compared to the rips - we are not pixeljoint so stop acting like we are.
Giving priority to some would mean others aren't visible - the problem in doing that is people won't notice the resources button being clickable, since the sprites one won't be either.
I had no idea that there was that many customs/edited sprites.
Hmm. MAYBE. If you had links/buttons at the top of the page, and when you clicked/rolled over you got a little drop down menu?
For the sprite section, it could link to games by console, developer (ninty/sega/etc, i couldn't think of the right word), &c &c. resources menu would, obviously, link to all the resource stuff.
That might work, but the word "Edited" has one "t", not 2. And why not call the Gameboy tab "Gameboy/Color" or "Gameboy/Gameboy Color" in case people get confused.
Well those were just buttons I quickly made, so...
Also, I don't like drop down menus - it's just another thing to break.
N64 should have it's own section. Or no? I was just thinking.
I don't think enough people have submitted N64-related paraphenelia for it to have its own section.
I'm half considering moving the 32X and Sega CD in with Genesis/Mega Drive, and PSP in with PSX/PS2

Sounds like a good idea.
