Ok, starting to get off topic here...
Can more people help sprite the menu buttons? I just started highschool and i rarely get free time....
Thanks! I was hoping that Runouw could probably create the transparency effect.
Yep, you don't need to try making differed transparency yourself.
Just pointing out though, the screen size for the game is 640x480 so the card might seem small as it is. I don't know if that will be a problem or not.
Alleluiah!!!(Did I even spell that correctly?) Well this is the player card, and since there will be 4 on screen + 4 more of those slot projectors, I think there may be enough space.
DOUBLE POST-
Extremely Crappy Concept #2:
Well, for the player start icon, we should make them more like the sprites (as like in detail, so Mario should have the same color pallet, and design on the overalls)
I know thats just a place holder
BTW:
Just some random buttons I made...I don't know how they may be useful though.

I'd say use to make keyboard buttons instead if you're trying to make them for a how to play type thing. There's honestly little reason to use dithering on them either simply because there's so many colors to work with.
Wow, Iceman.
That's a really good start.
Anyway, what Shadowth said. Don't dither, and use keyboard keys.
...
I can't stop staring at the base you made. It's so perfect.
That card is way too simple and uninspired.
Not a fan of the Player 1 button either. It shouldn't be a button like that.
Try getting closer to the card design we came up with.
I like the player selection idea, but to be honest, it must get much more improvement. Try making mario doing a stance in the selection card

I will start the big Mario pose this weekend. But, how big should he be though?
