I don't remind which one was blocking the stairs either, played it long time ago. I'm not sure if any of the programs from LucasHack can decipher the NES/Famicom coding, but there might be something at the forums. But looks like you already got it covered.

I played Day of the Tentacle before playing the Maniac Mansion, I really recommend it. And you don't need to worry about filling the pool anymore Wink
Great job on the Romancia rips, nice work!
Large Residence of Insanity for the Nintendo Famicom, Japanese version. (and yes, I translated title to Japanese and back to English)

I laughed. HARD.
Great work ^^
Very cool Big Grin
Hey, I'm playing the DS game Steal Princess. And was thinking of ripping the gems you could collect (and since I also found the items files in Tahaxan the other items too).
Now, I ripped the gems with the palette Tahaxan had, and I'm going through the game in No$gba (since I want to play it in English and the July update of desmume isn't going past the opening video [Japanese version works fine], and iDeaS 1.0.3.2 also doesn't go past that too [didn't try the Japanese version]) to see the colors.
Now, the colors were similar, but not identical. Now I'm asking, should I use the Tahaxan colors or No$gba "VGA (poppy bright)" colors?

No submission today, just a question.
Tahaxan is the true color of the images, I think. In any case you can also include the No$gba palette too if you want it.
Maybe I'll run through the Japanese version on one of the other working emulators and compare between them, Tahaxan, and No$gba's poppy colors.
OK. Was telling someone that if they go to submit large images on Photobucket to keep in mind the upload settings they have it set for, and remembered I had an edited map for the GBA game San Goku Shi. Now going through it again to see if I couldn't rip the map much better than I did before, I have run into two slight problems (that I was aware of before but for the purposes I needed the maps for did not need to bother with).

The first is that there is animated water. Which normally would not be a problem since after all, in such a case you can take one copy of the map, and show where the animation takes place in a separate part of the same image. Or if its a strategy RPG with a lot of repeating tiles, you could also do the tileset as well.

My second problem is that my maps are 976 by 768, and have two major rivers going through a good portion of the map that are animated.

The question I ask is, should I pick a single frame for the map and just submit that? Or should I post four (calculated that water in Winter is frames long) copies of the map in one image?
Steal Princess is on hold for now, but not forgotten. Only a handful of items I need to get, and gems to find (and if I knew how to make custom maps earlier, I wouldn't have tried to collect gems so much [make a map with a door, a key, and 9 of the most valuable gems you can use, repeat until you hit 99 of that type or get bored (only required for clearing the thief Anise's debt [and getting bonus maps from the king] or buying map parts for the custom maps from the shop)]) since I'm also including the item names in the sheet (would have been done already if I didn't decide to do that...)

San Goku Shi GBA version (port of the SNES game localized as Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV)
The map of China, during the four seasons of the year. One of the four frames of water (see last post about that) used.

That's some impressive work. Nice
Thanks. Also, if you notice. The border color (was going to say background, but there isn't any transparency on the in-game part) is different for the four sheets based on the season of it. Big Grin

Also. Sheet #90. The items and gems from Steal Princess. Funny thing is, the diamond wasn't the last gem I got but in fact the ruby (why's that funny? Because diamonds are worth the most out of all the gems in the game).

Probably could have finished much earlier if I wasn't so persistent about getting the name tags.
Was watching a video of Puli-Rula earlier. And got an idea to possibly rip from that. This post is not about that. But I had an idea of posting from an earlier game that would be much quicker. Don't know what time I started, around 9ish. Its almost 9Cute0ish (at my present location).

From Toypop. The puppet heroes Pino and Acha.

As I said. A quick one. Black background to better see the characters Tongue
Ahahahah
Those two look cute.
Quick rips are fun to do
Here's one inspired by the casino scenes in the 007 movie "Never Say Never Again".

Want to try to make submission #100 something good. Then again, any accepted submission is good (everyone's, not just mine).
