I am going whith the Fighting-Rock-Flying idea. I have the starters being Geodude, Tyrogue, and Murkrow. I chose them as they have a evolution line of 3,2, and 1. And don't worry rokkan, I will put some non 2nd Gen Pokemon in it, because you know Tyvonn has a Zangoose in his ref, and what do Zangoose hate? And you know no one would download this if it didn't have new pokemon right? Remember my possom pokemon? I have plenty of more ideas....Fufufu

I've actually have had many thoughts of using Gastly, but I can never think of two more that could fit the loop.

Murkrow is bad there. Dark types get hurt by Fighting Types, so it's Flying/Dark makes it Neutral to whatever Tyoge becomes, while it's weak to the rock abilities of geodude, while Tyrogue wins any fight with Geodude due to speed, power and stab.

What I don't get... is why you don't add new monsters. I mean, I'm only adding 151 of my own original creatures in my hack, I was worried I couldn't. But the tools for tweaking things out there are INSANELY detailed and effective, you have no excuse not to have whatever monsters you want.

Was what I suggested. But Dark/Grass and Dark/Water don't exist until RSE, so the OP screwed himself over.

now that that issue is resolved
about your overworlds for the main char:
they are terrible recolors of what appears to be red
just use the team rocket sprites from the game and edit the gold sprite sheet to include stuff like the bike
or just do an edit to the TR grunt's overworld sprite so that you can tell which one you are
Any ideas about the front sprite/back sprites for him though, because on the regular grunt sprite, the hat looks messed up.
