Same reason why they made Ristar angry in the US/EU version of Ristar? I don't really know.

Because angry = attitude and attitude = cool and cool = the kids will buy it

Or something like that. Angry is still used, even for a certain game series where the hero rarely is angry (compare the Kirby box art for the US versions and Japanese versions).

Heh, I guess I won't be ripping the Lost City of Atlantis anytime soon. You see, I've been ripping something else. One of them with good results. I'll post them sometime in the future.
