I don't think we should have any more than one more 3rd-party character if we do this.
So, hypothetical tSR Smash game roster;
All Brawl-ers
Mewtwo
Roy
Claus (Mother 3)
Marina (Mischief Makers)
Megaman (?)
Who else?
I think we should include all of the elements in all 3 Smash games along with everything that is finished in the Fantasy Smash Project.
some of the fantasy dudes actually being worked on, like bomberman, GOOEY, Viewtiful Joe, Lolo
I mean to include Gooey on that list.

You better Mean Masked Man Ton.
Also I need someone to get me off of my lazy ass an Finish Mega Man I already have his moveset Mostly done.
EDIT: Also Issac and Little Mac.
Yes, I mean Masked Man.
I considered Little Mac, but aside from punches, what can he do?
Ummm not sure, but his Final Smash could be the Giga Joe for the new Punch-Out!

Different kinds of punches
It would be cool to have a fighter only using punches IMO
A Punch
A> Hook
A^ Uppercut
Av Headbutt (XD)
B Strong Punch
B> Fast punches(like Marth's)
B^ three star punch
Bv block
Final Smash: Giga Mac
I support this.
But how are we going to make it? Doing a complete engine from scratch or using an editor? Is it going to be multi-platform supported or only Windows supported?
It's a lot of job. I have a strong base in C++ and C# and I do know I don't want to do the AI stuff for sure.

Final Smash: Giga Mac
already exists
his name is balrog/m. bison/dudley
he's in street fighter
Streetfighter != Smashbros.
Anyway, whoever makes this game and whatever he makes it in, I'd love something where the users can easily create and import new characters and stages. That way, the guy making the engine can just do the very basic stuff, then let other people work on the other content. Also allows for extra characters and stages being made in the future.
So, should I work on Fox or Bomberman? I seriously don't know...
Fox, for now. I figure we can vote on "other" characters later.
Did some searching and found a p.decent moveset for Mac.
B: Knockout Punch (Sends an opponent a powerful punch. Not as powerful as DK's Wind-Up Punch nor Ganondorf's Warlock Punch, but almost as powerful as Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch. This was used in the SNES Super Punch-Out!!.)
Forward+B: Rapid Punch (Faster and a bit more powerful than any other's rapid attacks. If someone shields against Mac's Rapid Punch, he'll stop for a very short time. This was used in the SNES Super Punch-Out!!.)
Down+B: Counter Punch (If Mac uses this attack right before his opponent begins to attack, the opponent will pause for a short time, giving Mac a chance to KO or severely damage his opponent. This was used in the SNES Super Punch-Out!!.)
Up+B: Right Hook (Based on the Right Hook move from the Punch-Out!! arcades, as well as the "Star Punch" or "Jumping Uppercut" from the NES versions. Jumps up in the air while sending a fast right hook. Can also be used while in the air for recovery.)

What are you talking about, this is almost completely different from Project Prism. With Project Prism, you had tons of people all trying to get their ideas in, people with completely different ideas for the direction of the game, a story that needed to be written, characters that needed to be designed, puzzles, artwork, original music, etc.
With a Smash Bros. fangame, you only have to choose already existing characters and locations for stages, sprite them, add some music which is probably premade and/or taken directly from actual Smash Bros. games, and make an engine. The creation process for something like this is pretty linear, and if you keep the development team small and simple (maybe just the people whose sprites are being used, a programmer, and a few others for other original content, if there even is any more than the sprites) then you shouldn't have much trouble creating a fangame, as long as you keep at it.
So, um, alternate colors. How do you suppose we can pull them off? We can't exactly change the pallette info on the fly (I don't know how to, anyways), and we don't want to have to split different colored body parts off...
Also, SoL's right. As long as we don't have to write story or really design visual stuff, this should be easy. In fact, this could essentially be seen as just an SSB engine project with nice, matching sprites. Extras would be designed by the people who supply the sprites.
