Well, it's for simplicity's sake, the lighting, I mean. Especially since DK will be spending most of the time in the top middle part of the screen anyway. The arms and legs are flat on the bottom because I want them to look "grounded", like they are flat on the ground. Do you think it works?
You're right about the nose though, good call:
I agree that it is much simpler. But the simplicity comes at the cost of inconsistency. The lightsource is different between DK and Mario. And I see what you mean with the "grounded" look, it will be hard to make this grounded because the feet are higher up that the hands. If you put the feet flat on the ground, the hands are beneath the ground. If you put the hands flat on the ground, the feet are floating in midair. Also I think it looks funny how his knuckes disappear into the ground.
Well, gorillas walk with all four legs, and that's what I wanted to show. I'll try to put it on a background/platforms and see.
The lighting stays, I'm afraid. Lest I get lazy and not finish anything. >_<
I really like DK, nice work. I agree with EpicWes for the most part, but eh.
Fuck, this'll be a lot easier if I could animate my shit.
Can someone animate the head for me, I want to see how it looks (probably p. bad).
EDIT:
Necro-edit for my perusal later.
cool stuff.
one thing though-
the "m" on his cap looks like an "h".
I hope I did it right.
Yeeep, looks like crap.
Could you loop it, like left to right and back to left? Wanna see just how crappy.
Oh, and thanks.
No problem.
I knooow what you mean.=__=
